Youtube is better than TikTok + Instagram period.

this is my first hand experience.


In this post, 


I'll break down the reasons why TikTok and Instagram may not be the best choice, 


and why YouTube is a better option for a coaching or course business.


Why TikTok and Instagram are worst for a coaching/course business:

  1. While growth is tremendous on Reels/TikTok, the audience is not loyal.
  2. Both platforms are primarily entertainment-focused, so educational videos may not receive as many views.
  3. Your posts or videos have a maximum lifespan of 4 weeks unless they become viral.
  4. Monetization options are limited, with no options for ads, and you need 100K+ followers to be seen as authority.
  5. You need to consistently post every single day and engage with your audience to grow your following.



Why YouTube is better for a coaching/course business:

  1. As a video sharing platform, you don't need to stay online or consistently post new content every day.
  2. Your videos have a lifespan of 6+ years.
  3. You don't need a massive audience to sell your products - you can still generate revenue even with a small following. (Example: I have sold my course and generated a total revenue of $8k in a year with just 3k subscribers)
  4. The audience on YouTube is loyal and easy to convert as they feel like they know you through watching your long-form content, similar to how we get attached to characters in a web series.
  5. YouTube AdSense revenue - YouTube pays you to upload your videos.



In conclusion, 


while TikTok and Instagram may offer tremendous growth opportunities, they may not be the best choice for a coaching or course business. 


On the other hand, YouTube offers longer video lifespan, a loyal audience, and monetization options through ads and product sales. 


Ultimately, the choice of platform will depend on the specific needs and goals of your business.
