FIRST - CAN YOU JUSTIFY WHY YOU SHOULD BE PROMOTED OR GET A PAY RISE?
Pleas based purely on equality have been slow to create real change.
The key differentiator for you is which candidate will deliver the best value to the business.
Can you do that – and provide the indisputable evidence to back it up?
What makes you worth what you’re currently being paid, let alone what you aspire?
It’s rare to find anyone who can justify their salary!
Most executives – male of female - can’t explain their salary and therefore fall back on relating it to organisational pay structures – but they cannot justify it!
IF YOU, AS A WOMAN EXECUTIVE, COULD JUSTIFY YOUR WORTH:
How confident would you feel?
How high would your self-respect and self-esteem be?
And how much stronger would you appear against your male counterparts in competitive interviews?
LET’S START WITH WHAT YOU ARE EXCEPTIONAL AT DOING
There’s no point in fighting on equality grounds or only appearing to be as good as others.
What’s critical now is to demonstrate your level of competence; the difference you’ve made, the impact you’ve had and the outcomes you’ve delivered.
It’s got to be you, at your best, where you outperformed everyone!
IT’S NO GOOD CLAIMING SOMETHING UNLESS YOU CAN JUSTIFY IT TOO!
Once you have identified what makes you exceptional and justified it with indisputable evidence, you will articulate it confidently and present it convincingly in your CV.
Be careful you don’t lose yourself by describing things in ‘generalist’ terms or fall into the trap of getting lost in processes you’ve followed – think outcomes all the time!
IF ALL THIS FEELS TOO DIFFICULT, WE OUGHT TO SPEAK SOON
It’s time for you and all women executives to stand up and present yourself as who you are capable of being.
You can correct the gender bias by fighting the cause and tipping the playing field to your advantage.
You don’t want to rely on positive discrimination to change things for you. Do you?
Or will you continue to accept the slow process and hope acceptance gains speed?
THE TIME IS RIGHT. THE TIME IS NOW. THERE IS NO NEED TO WAIT.
You can become who you are capable of being – and soon!
It’s your future; why waste it?
If you are tired of beating your head against the glass ceiling, we clearly need to speak asap.
Contact me now for a unique insight into how you could present your key value and potential, so the job search world can judge you correctly.
