World Kindness Day - What a Load of Rubbish.
It's World Kindness Day - what a load of fluffy, pointless nonsense.
No one needs needs to be reminded that we all have all had that one life changing experience from someone else's kindness, that they probably didn't even notice, at some point in our lives.
No one needs to be reminded that actively being kind and compassionate eases our own stress, low moods and bitter outlooks, making our own lives better and brighter.
No one needs to be reminded that kindness in leadership not only leads to happier reportees, but increased and creative performance, retention, and productivity.
No one needs to be reminded that kindness creates trust, connection and is the only answer to the global pandemic that is acute loneliness.
No one needs to be reminded that kindness is not weakness, nor does it make you open to manipulation if done in its own right rather than validation, but is instead a HUGE show of strength which many people really struggle with.
No one needs to be reminded that a small act of kindness can be the difference between someone else's mental and physical health and safety.
No one needs to be reminded that being kind is just bloody decent...
... And it feels good too.
Right?
I wish. Wouldn't that be amazing.
Viva La World Kindness Day ... I hope the day is kind to you too.
Best wishes
