WORLD PEACE: IS IT TOO MUCH TO ASK?

WORLD PEACE: IS IT TOO MUCH TO ASK?

PEACE. This 5 letter word is one of the most important needs of any human, kingdom, nation, country, community and even plants. Every thing under the sun needs peace to thrive. The chaos created as a result of the absence of peace inhibits growth and is detrimental to the maturity of anything and everything. It is important that I put out this article so that whoever wants to be realistic in this world will know whether it is too much to ask for peace in the world or not, and I will make this article very concise and direct.

The nature of peace is calmness, Silence, tranquillity, lack of agitation, and serenity.  This is what conventional minds pin peace to be but peace supersedes all of that. The extra found in peace is that you can have peace even when in a chaotic environment.

That is the reason why there is only one type of peace which is inner peace. To understand the works of peace better, it is important to take into perspective the subject matter where peace is needed or expected, and that is the world.

What is the ‘world'?

It is necessary you do not confuse ‘the earth' with ‘the world’. These are 2 separate entities. The earth is the physical structure in which we live; God put man in the earth for his existence and habitation. The earth includes the sun, moon, vegetation, water bodies, mountains, hills, valleys etc. The earth are things directly made by God to assist man living here. The earth on its own has peace and the inherent ability to rejuvenate itself.

All the problems the earth face are directly as a result of man’s interference in the natural duties of the earth. This is why it is very easy to experience a high level of calm, serenity and tranquillity when you find yourself in an area of the earth where man has had no kind of interference or limited interference. If you have been to calm or flowing waters, beaches, forests or other natural places, you will understand better what I am saying.

The ‘world' on the other hand are simply systems created by man; economic systems, educational systems, political systems, media systems, entertainment systems, health care systems etc. These systems are in essence what we call ‘The world’. These worlds are ruled by men, backed by spirits guiding these men.

For instance, Nigeria’s political system is ruled by the demon of greed. This demon influences a larger lot of those in the system to steal and hoard money they can’t finish in their lifetime. They waste this money on frivolities, at the detriment of the general masses who own the money.

Now I must point out that someone who was not greedy before joining Nigeria’s political system will meet the demon of greed who has been in the system before his or her arrival. This person must battle and conquer this demon by rejecting all its works and saying ‘No’ to people who this demon will use to work. This person can also succumb to this greedy demon if not well disciplined. If this person chooses to stay not greedy, there will definitely be a battle. The world systems are built for battle against kingdoms.

These systems are a conglomeration of people from different backgrounds, culture, standards and beliefs. Based on the specific system, their objectives, goals and aspirations, rules and regulations are created to guide whoever finds himself or herself in the systems.

Anybody who has worked in a big organization will understand that people only get along majorly because of the code of conduct and ethics guiding that organization, not because there’s peace. Most offices are places for the bitterest political systems and rivalries.

Due to the extreme diversity and wickedness in the world systems, there will never be peace in the world. The world is not programmed to be peaceful. Like I pointed out earlier, a lot of people found in these systems are guided by demons. So there will always be a clash of kingdoms. This is why the world is a haven for evil.

In short and simple terms, STOP PRAYING FOR PEACE IN THE WORLD, it’s a very unrealistic prayer because it’s never going to happen. Don’t even expect it because it will never happen.

Now there could be some stability in some of these systems because of laid down rules and principles which those in the systems are mandated to abide by. Yet no nation can achieve total stability in all ramifications. This is why there are prisons, courts and penitentiary in almost every nation of the world.

Peace is very personal in nature, which is why we have only inner peace. And the only guarantee for inner peace is right living according to the statutes of the maker. These statutes are targeted at making humans experience inner peace which they can now transmit to their families, communities and countries.

So why is there no peace currently in the world? Because people are not living by the statutes of God.

The way things are going, especially with the rise of parents abandoning their duties of raising wholesome children, the worst form of Chaos that is still brewing will start from the family setting.

It is not too much to ask for peace in the world, there is simply no need asking for it.

As a president of a nation or someone who has the responsibility to protect the lives of others, you can have your own personal and inner peace as a result of your living right and keeping the statutes of God. But don’t expect to have a totally peaceful nation either within your borders or outside your borders.

Within your borders, you must enforce stability among your citizens at all cost. Your rules, regulations and constitution must be clear for everyone to understand and live by. Failure to do so will create chaos and instability which will hinder your growth as a leader.

Outside your borders, maintain cordial relationships born out of mutual respect but do not go about suing for peace. Just live your own life peacefully, and at the same time, prepare for arrogant and erratic nations.

For the fact that you appreciate your personal peace and your national stability doesn’t mean it is the same with your neighboring countries. While you all you can to make your citizens have your back at all times, you must keep passing subtle messages to troublesome nations or individuals that you are ready to engage them fiercely in order to protect your people. They must understand that you won’t tolerate nonsense from them. That way, they won’t mess with you or your citizens. I will write more on this later.

Conclusively, there will never be world peace. It can only get more chaotic. But as an individual, you are guaranteed inner peace if you acknowledge God and live by his principles.

Even Jesus Christ who is called ‘The Prince of Peace' said, “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the world. I did not come to being peace but a sword “.

Sword is symbolic with battle. This means the world is a battle ground; battle between good and evil, light and darkness, right and wrong.

If Jesus didn’t come to bring peace to the world, then your guess is as good as mine.
