Yasser Shaker's ultimate purpose in life! TV interview:

"I want to convey a strong message for my readers in 2016,  as  most of us work to have  personal & family prosperity  as ultimate purpose in life we need to plan, communicate, put an effort, time, energy and increase our knowledge to achieve that great fine purpose, if you totally succeeded in this purpose, you might create a legacy after your death as your  love-ones will remember you with good deeds and praise god for you." That was part of my TV interview  last week in El H7aya Halwa TV program, read more below.

Imagine if I tell you we’re going to build a structure with just 80 sticks. What’s the first thing you’re likely to do? You’ll probably sketch out some design as to what this structure, or building, might look like using those 80 sticks. In other words, you’ll create a plan. Without one, chances are high that you’ll waste a lot of your limited resources (those sticks) with false starts and failed attempts. That’s because you’re trying to create something with no idea what that something is. Now, think about the fact that the average person lives for 80 years. You need to build a life with those 80 years. Without a plan or focus for your life, you’ll waste precious years (sticks) heading down different paths and leading a scattered life. Do you really want to plan better for creating a building than you would for creating your own life?

Finding a purpose or goal for your life will ensure you live more focused and more satisfied. In the search for purpose many, including myself, have been inspired by the best-seller, Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl. The 1946 book, that chronicles Frankl’s experiences in and survival of the Nazi concentration camps, shares his theory, known as logo-therapy, that a person’s primary drive is the discovery and pursuit of what is personally meaningful. My book looks at six dimensions, or areas, of your life to help you find your own vision or purpose and then to live your life toward making that vision a reality.

I have done this myself and it has meant everything. As an author and leader in the science of optimism, my vision and purpose is:  To live with prosperity in this life and the afterlife.  This vision guides every action in both my personal and professional lives. I work every day to fulfill this purpose and make real - not just a slogan.

I urge you to do the same and clarify or determine your vision…the purpose, the logo (meaning) of your life. The best way to start is by answering these questions in a simple and direct way. Why do I live? What I want to do with my life? What do I want to achieve during my life? What legacy do I want to leave behind? How can I use all the resources and talents I have been given? Do I want to go heaven and why? What are my personal and professional life top priorities?  What is my single core belief about life?

These answers will allow you do to some reverse engineering. That means first you determine what you want and what it looks like. Then you can work backwards to figure out how to make those things happen. With this book, after you clarify your vision, you’ll work backwards to create a grand objective for each of the six dimensions of life featured, always linking back to your personal vision. The six dimensions will look something like this:

  1. Personal life grand objective is live Wellness Life
  2. Executive life grand objective is be an Acumen Manager
  3. Customer satisfaction life grand objective is become a Customer Magnet
  4. Teamwork life grand objective is practice Team Dynamics
  5. Family life grand objective is enjoy Wellness Relationships
  6. Spiritual life grand objective is create Wellness Eternity

Don’t panic if you feel you don’t have a handle on your life’s vision. You can still begin doing the work and moving toward a more fulfilled and optimistic life. Some people already know what they want, but some people will need a bit more time to figure that out. So, there are two processes, and you can use the one that best fits you. They both will get you on the road to your optimistic journey.
