Are you attracting the RIGHT clients on LinkedIn?

Ever found yourself working with clients who just weren't the right fit? Maybe you took them on board because you simply needed the money, they matched your demographic or someone had referred them and you didn't want to be rude and turn them away!

And it simply makes you feel disheartened, frustrated, demotivated

Worse still, your audience can sense that and sales start to dry up

This is the time to dig deep and shift your energy - but how?

Here’s what I’ve learned and what I share with my clients as a LinkedIn Mindset and Brand Strategist.


1. Mindset Shift: Step Into Your True Power

The first step to attracting aligned clients is an internal one: shifting your mindset. Your personal energy is magnetic. When you believe in your own value and confidently step into your mission, you’ll naturally start attracting people who resonate with that. Essentially it's time to OWN YOUR SHIT!

  • Clarify your vision: What impact do you want to create? Get clear on your “why” and make it the absolute foundation and anchor of your personal brand.
  • Break through limiting beliefs: If you’re holding onto doubts about whether you deserve clients who are kind, fun, and purposeful, it’s time to let that go. Start believing that the right clients are out there, waiting to connect with you. If it helps, write it all the negative thoughts and then rewrite them as a positive
  • Project positive energy: When you approach your brand with passion and positivity, you’ll draw in those who share your enthusiasm.


2. Build a Personal Brand That Stands Out Authentically

Your LinkedIn profile is more than just a job title and CV — it’s a reflection of who you are and what you stand for. If you want to attract clients who care about impact over income, your personal brand needs to communicate those values with 100% clarity.

  • Tell your story: People connect with stories, not just skills. Share your journey, your “why,” and the impact you want to create.
  • Be unapologetically authentic: Don’t dilute your message to appeal to everyone. The more authentic and specific you are, the more you’ll attract the clients who truly align with your mission. Don't be afraid to shout from the rooftops!
  • Lead with values: Highlight your core values in your LinkedIn headline, about section, and content. This lets potential clients know exactly what you stand for and helps rebel those who don’t align and in your gut you know tey won't light you up


3. Create a Content Strategy That Resonates with Purpose

Content is king, but ONLY when it’s aligned with your mission. Your LinkedIn content should amplify your voice, demonstrate your expertise, and speak to your ideal clients.

  • Share your mission: Talk about the impact you want to create, the challenges you care about solving, and why it matters to you.
  • Provide value: Instead of just promoting your services, focus on sharing insights, lessons, and tips that help others make a difference in their own lives or businesses.
  • Be consistent: Show up regularly on LinkedIn with posts, articles, and comments that reflect your mission. Consistency builds trust and reinforces your brand.


4. Attract Clients Who Align with Your Values

Now that you’ve got the right mindset, personal brand, and content strategy, it’s time to start attracting those dream clients. Here’s how:

  • Engage with purpose: Don’t just focus on growing your network — focus on building meaningful connections. Comment on posts, send messages, and engage in conversations with people who align with your values.
  • Be selective: This is a biggy in my book! It’s okay to turn down clients who don’t feel right. Saying “no” to the wrong fit leaves room for the clients who truly resonate with your mission.
  • Share your values upfront: During client discovery calls or consultations, be transparent about your values. Let potential clients know that you prioritise impact over profit.

I was so guilty of this for while, then I see started to resent my business because I was stuck working with people I didn't want to and people that didn't see the value in what I do! It feels so tough at times but you've made some great points in there, this might be one I refer back to often just to keep me on track, thanks 😊
