Are you still waiting to get inspired?
“Inspiration exists. But, it must find you working.” Pablo Picasso
Wait is hard! We all find it difficult to wait for something. Even waiting for a few minutes at the bus stop can feel like eternity. Still, there are many of us who keep waiting for inspiration for years.
“Still waiting to get success in your projects? Start using a ProofHub to end this wait”
But, why? When waiting for a few minutes becomes so hard why do we keep waiting for years just to start something new? Something that we love, but don’t have the courage to take the first step? What I’ve figured out is that the fear of failure is the number one reason why people keep waiting. And, those who overcome this fear end up claiming greatness!
So, how to overcome this fear? What can we stop just waiting for inspiration and start moving towards it? Here’s how -
Nothing will ever come if you keep waiting
If you keep waiting for the right time, it will never come. Even an infant has to cry for the mother to know he needs food. If he does not, he will have to remain hungry. It’s quite natural for us to put efforts to do small things. For instance, when we have the urge to eat food, we either put effort to cook it or go to a food joint to eat. Do we ever wait for the food to automatically pop-up, or get cooked on its own?
Similarly, in life if you want to make your dreams come true you must stop waiting. And, start working towards achieving those dreams.
The first step is the hardest
When we learn to ride a motorcycle, the first lesson is the hardest. When decide to learn guitar, the first lesson seems the hardest. Same is the case with everything else in life. When we do something for the first time, it is but natural to have the fear of failure. But, don’t let that fear stop you. Just take the first step, and even if you fail try to learn the lesson that failure teaches you.
Remember, first step is always the hardest. Whether you are trying to break a bad habit or trying to inculcate a good one, the first step is the most difficult one.
Small steps can make a big difference
Once you take the first step, second, third and later ones don’t seem that difficult. Things start to ease off and you get into a habit. And, trust me - success is a habit. There are so many inspiring stories of successful people doing the same thing day in and day out, until they succeed at it. They don’t leave things to chance. They don’t wait for them. They make things happen, by taking that first step!
Even if they fail ten times, they get up the 11th time with the same vigor and a new learning. As they say, it’s not about weathering the storm, it’s about learning how to dance in the rain. And, that’s the difference between them and the not-so-successful ones.
There’s no such thing like ‘Perfect Time’
You cannot control time. Nor can you bring it back, when it’s gone. So, why wait for something that you cannot control. If you believe in yourself, then every moment is THE RIGHT MOMENT!!! You just need to have the courage to make that moment count.
Do you think Steve Jobs would have made Apple if he kept waiting for the right time? Or, Larry Page would have found Google if he kept waiting for inspiration to knock the door? Or, J.K. Rowling would have come up with Harry Potter if she kept waiting for her creative side to call her?
The bottom line is Inspiration comes when you work for it!
No matter you want to start a business, become a better manager, run a marathon or want to become a successful singer. If you keep waiting for the right moment to take the first step, it will never come. You have to take the first step and let things happen!
