Is your Mind open ???
Relax! Relax!
I wasn't speaking about breaking your head open !!
For a change today instead of questions to build curiosity, Let's see the benefits of opening your mind.
On top of everything else, problem resolution is the most appealing result.
By this statement, I didn't mean they don't have problems to face.
But I mean, we will have an edge of solving the problem because we will be more Flexible and Agile.
Concerning our present-day scenarios' life is in fast forward motion.
A study states that life has evolved much faster from the last century to the past 2000 years. I thought of letting you imagine what the next century will be and look like.
For a reality check, think are we the same before and after Covid?
We all knew the answer, so let's keep it in our memories.
So open-minded people who are able to adapt easily to a rapidly changing world would be given an advantage.
The hardest part is understanding these things; once that's done, teaching yourself to live by them will be easy.
Humility is another key part of this aspect; to be specific, Practical Humility.
Humility, as a quality of character, can be defined two ways: either as the willingness to defer to other people's opinions (as in "the humble student always seeks his teacher's guidance") or modesty with regard to one’s own worth or status.
I feel it would be easier to grasp its feeling better than knowing its literal meaning.
What you know is only a handful,
What to explore is beyond the sea
If we can understand the depth of these two lines, accepting the other truths wouldn't scare us.
Acknowledging this one certainty will introduce us to 3 more viewpoints to develop an Open Mind
1) Believing there is always another way
Recommended by LinkedIn
There are millions of ways to travel to the same destination. It is not only a possibility but it's the reality.
After understanding this fact, however big an issue we might have in our mind, we will always think on an alternative path to finding an escape rather than the regular momentous conclusions.
2) Knowing that we might be wrong
Understanding this perspective of life will help us in shedding our ego on believing that whatever we say or think is only right and the pride that we are carrying with us in the belief that we are always right.
This thought will bring in a new spot to listen to the point of view that differs from us but sounds logical to us.
This space of listening to others will always benefit us—one either in understanding their perspective better or helping us stand stronger with our ideologies, but having a clear explanation for it.
3) Letting go of Hesitation:
This step is the beautiful outcome of the earlier two understanding, since we knew that we are not always 100% right, we shall now let go of the unwanted hesitation that comes when we make a decision.
Because, all the decisions we make today on based on the resources, beliefs and understanding of the situation I have in hand today which might be changed tomorrow so I don't have any hesitation in accepting and altering the thoughts whenever I find that I'm deviating from the reality.
"One who makes the most attempts to succeed, has the best chance of letting more lucky" as Ankur Warikoo says.
So stop hesitating and start learning.
To start this journey carry your attitude to stay open-minded.
Now it's up to you to listen to others and try a new plan when your mind pushes you to restrict yourself to your rigid plan.
Try this as a challenge to explore more options to do than the regular usual.
Start having diversified paths!
I will see you next Thursday with the next step.
Have a happy day.
See you all!!
