Your Setbacks Are Your Setups!

Your Setbacks Are Your Setups!

Life and business are full of unexpected twists and turns.

We all face setbacks, and it’s easy to get discouraged when things don’t go according to plan. But what if I told you that these setbacks are actually setups in disguise?

When we hit a roadblock, it’s not the end of the journey—it’s a detour that often leads us to something greater. Every challenge we encounter is an opportunity to learn, adapt, and grow. It’s in these moments of adversity that we discover our true strengths, refine our strategies, and unlock new opportunities we never saw coming.

In business, a failed project might seem like a disaster, but it often teaches us invaluable lessons that lead to future successes. In life, personal setbacks can push us out of our comfort zones and force us to evolve in ways we never imagined.

Instead of viewing setbacks as failures, start seeing them as setups—stepping stones that prepare you for the next big thing. Embrace the lessons, the growth, and the resilience that comes with each challenge. Remember, the most successful people didn’t avoid setbacks; they used them as fuel to reach even greater heights.

Pro tip next time you feel set back:

  1. Take 3 deep breaths.
  2. Write down the setback.
  3. Ask yourself: What is this setting me up for? What new doors are about to open? How will this experience shape my journey?
  4. Move forward by using your setbacks as setups.
  5. Rinse and repeat!

Your setbacks are not roadblocks—they’re the launchpads for your next success.

The POWER of Connections!

6️⃣ years ago, I wanted to network differently. I was searching for a group with diverse backgrounds. A group that provided exceptional personal development. A network that could next level me professionally. A group that my corporate company could join & become a member to support our Women in Construction 🚧 group at Henkels & McCoy, Inc. and across the segment. We did!

Fast forward ⏩, I just got elected to be a Board Member of #power.

I’m excited to collaborate with some of the finest women, and help next level The POWER of Professional Women.

Thank you Lindsay Johnston, Jesse Harootunian, Shelley Potente, Sally Schufreider and so many other women who helped make this opportunity and honor possible. If you haven’t heard of Power or attended an event, perhaps this is your time to take a look… 👀

Let's make September an amazing month! Would love to connect more often outside of LinkedIn! Drop your info here and subscribe for more content, tips & strategies to serve you.
