You're amazing! Any employer should be lucky to hire you!

There's a good chance you're allowing resume screening databases (ATSs) to block/screen out your resume.

Here are 3 common ways job seekers allow ATSs to block your resume:

1. Lack Of Customization: ATSs screen out your resume when you send an uncustomed template, because it won't match enough criteria. Even if you are customizing, Applicant Tracking Systems screen out resumes with minor customization as well, for the same reasons. To stop ATSs from blocking your resume, you need to invest much more time into customizing your resume to the individual hiring manager's exact current needs (and they're not in the job description).
2. Poor And Non-Current Employer Research: When you primarily depend on publicly available information, you don't look so amazing to employers. Public information gives you zero advantage over your competition (who has access to the same info) and rarely represents the hiring manager's current needs ... This includes the job description.
3. ATS Unfriendly Formatting: There are hundreds of ATS types and each has dozens of versions, and each works differently with resume formatting. You won't know what Applicant Tracking System or version an employer is using. However, even resumes written by professional resume writers that are supposed to be ATS compliant, often still contain formatting that is unfriendly to many ATSs.

There are solutions to all three of these issues, that will get your resume through Applicant Tracking systems more often, so you'll have more chances to show hiring managers how amazing you really are.
