Great seeing everyone in Las Vegas last week! I celebrated CRP's 70 year anniversary with another legend of German heritage. This is a Zeiss Ikon Contaflex II that coincidentally also made its debut in 1954. I inherited it from my grandfather who passed away earlier this year. My grandparents lived in the same house since the 1960s so there are many mementos waiting to be discovered. He was 11 years old when this camera was built so perhaps he inherited it as well. I estimate it has probably not been in service for at least 40+ years. It feels like it's milled from a solid piece of German steel, analog quality in a digital world. This is the first roll of 35mm film I've tried so we'll see if they turn out once developed. I was careful not to zap it on the way home in the x-ray machines! #crpautomotive #aapex2024
