#Didyouknow power input matters? The static oil fill in the Exlar® FTX allows a greater power input relative to actuator size than grease only lubrication. With proper fill, a variety of mounting positions will support greater input speed, higher input torque, and decrease maintenance intervals. The FTX offers a variety of fill and drain ports with an integrated sight gauge system to ensure the correct lubrication level in any application. Optimum oil level ensures maximum life of the roller screw assembly by maintaining consistent temperature across the screw. #Doyouknow if premature wear occurs when an actuator is repeatedly used in one spot? In the case of an actuator that is run in a single spot, you are effectively using a singular process. When you are running a #pressing application, you are going to end up hitting the same spot multiple times, so in turn your theoretical life calculation tends to be less the number of inches you can travel, and more the number of times you can cycle to that same point repeatedly. That again plays a role in the life of the actuator. We typically do have some derating factors that we use to provide our customers with proper product life expectancy in pressing or very short stroke type applications.
