During the holiday season, EMPCo volunteers worked with the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank to distribute meals in underserved areas in Louisiana. Two events were held around Thanksgiving and two more at Christmas with a total of 1,200 holiday meals provided to those in need. We want to thank the Baton Rouge Food Bank for their collaboration as we continue to commit our resources to serving our communities.

It was an honor to work with Yazoo County Emergency Management in Mississippi and Director Jack Willingham, MCEM to make liquid and CO₂ pipeline emergencies training available this past weekend to first responders from Mississippi and Louisiana. “We are dedicated to protecting our communities and we want to ensure that our first responders have access to the training and resources they need. This was a successful drill simulating a CO₂ release and excellent training with firefighters from across our region to come together and strengthen their skills to respond safely and effectively to pipeline emergencies. Thank you to ExxonMobil for your participation and continuing to be a valuable partner.” ~Jack Willingham, Director, Yazoo County Emergency Management, MS #ExxonMobil #ExxonMobilLowCarbonSolutions #EmergencyResponse #Pipelines #YazooCountyEmergencyManagement #NationalAssociationofStateFireMarshals

Texas’ oil and natural gas industry contributed to over 492,000 jobs in 2024 and significant tax benefits to essential services, according to the Texas Oil & Gas Association Energy & Economic Impact Report. Our industry's impact to the state is extensive, and we're proud to be a part of it.
The Texas oil and natural gas industry continues to set new benchmarks for success, recently achieving an all-time high of $27.3 billion paid in state and local taxes and state royalties in fiscal year 2024. This historic milestone, highlighted in TXOGA's Annual Energy & Economic Impact Report demonstrates the industry’s role in fueling Texas’ economy and securing its position as a global energy leader. And Texas continues to cement its role as the backbone of the U.S. energy sector, producing 43% of the nation’s crude oil and nearly 30% of its natural gas. With record-breaking production in the Permian Basin and robust pipeline, refining, processing and exporting infrastructure, Texas is well-positioned to meet growing global energy demand. “Clearly, the world needs more, not less, of reliable, responsibly produced oil and natural gas, and Texas is leading the way,” TXOGA President Todd Staples said. More than 50 first responders representing 14 different counties and parishes from Mississippi and Louisiana experienced a simulated CO₂ release exercise featuring the new ExxonMobil-NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF STATE FIRE MARSHALS pipeline emergency training trailer. Training objectives included establishing hazard zones, implementing evacuations, ordering a shelter-in-place, coordinating multiple agency resources and more. Thank you, Jack Willingham, MCEM, for coordinating this important event. And thank you to School Superintendent Dr. Ken Barron and Rep. Timaka James-Jones for attending!
