Hello! I’m Melissa Gokhman, RN, BSN, a Fertility Outreach Coach, here with another #CoachsCorner. As fertility coaches, we work with patients of various backgrounds and across diverse communities. It’s important to provide culturally sensitive care so we can create a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone. That's why I’m honored to offer my coaching services in both English and Spanish. Did you know that Hispanic women are less likely to seek fertility care than non-Hispanic White women? And even after a fertility evaluation, Hispanic women are less likely to receive treatment for their infertility largely due to geographic, cultural, and societal factors. We can work together to better support Hispanic individuals and couples seeking fertility treatment! Swipe through to find out! For more tips and resources, visit https://bit.ly/4fe8g9y.

Supporting open conversations about male infertility is crucial for everyone on their family-building journey. #InternationalMensDay
Today, on International Men’s Day, we’re highlighting an important yet often overlooked aspect of men’s health: fertility and family-building. Although often perceived as a women’s issue, infertility affects men and women alike, with male factors contributing to up to 50% of fertility challenges in heterosexual relationships. Unfortunately, stigma and lack of awareness often prevent men from seeking the support they need which can leave them feeling embarrassed or ashamed. This silence can delay treatment and create unnecessary struggles. It’s time to change the conversation. Let’s break the stigma surrounding male fertility by encouraging open conversations, educating men on their reproductive health and providing support to help them navigate their family-building journeys. Let’s make fertility a topic everyone can talk about. #InternationalMensDay #MensHealth #FertilityAwareness #FamilyBuilding #FertilityOutLoud #ProjectFamily

Did you know that Black women are twice as likely to experience infertility? Yet, the painful reality is that they are less likely to pursue treatment. Often held back by emotional or systemic hurdles, Black women are also up to six times more likely to struggle with finding a physician they feel comfortable with. Created by Morehouse School of Medicine with support from Ferring Pharmaceuticals, the FertilityEquity™ e-Learning modules educate healthcare professionals and fertility clinic staff about the importance of equitable, compassionate fertility care, particularly for Black women. Those who complete the course will receive a Certificate of Completion from Morehouse School of Medicine.
