Each year, pregnantish proudly publishes our Future of Fertility article, capturing insights from industry thought leaders. This year, we explore key trends: AI-driven advancements, equity in care, and the overdue focus on male fertility amid global declines. As we celebrate 8 years and 1 billion global impressions, we reflect on how far fertility care has come. Highlights from this year’s report: ⭐ Patient Centricity Isn’t Just a Buzzword Pregnantish conducted one of the largest studies on why patients leave fertility clinics, published in Human Reproduction (2022). A key takeaway: patients want collaborative care—or they’ll go elsewhere. Thomas D’Hooge, VP at Merck, shares that empowering patients to co-lead their fertility treatment fosters ownership in their journey. With the right support, they can make informed choices aligned with their values. 💻 Technology & Transparency are Transforming Reproductive Care Technology is accelerating reproductive healthcare. Louis Villalba, CEO of TMRW Life Sciences says patients invest so much into fertility and yet embryo storage has remained analog. Now, frozen specimens can be digitally identified, safely managed with automation, and remotely monitored 24/7. Emma Whitney, Director of Embryology & Genetics at The Evewell, adds that AI can bring patients into the process and adds that transparency “eases anxiety and improves our work." 🌎 Decling Populations + Sperm is Having a Moment Headlines on declining birth rates and sperm counts prove infertility isn’t just a women’s issue. A long-overdue focus on male fertility is finally emerging. ♥️ Access + Equity in Fertility Care Barriers persist, but initiatives like Ferring Pharmaceuticals’ “Breaking Barriers, Building Families” are closing gaps. David Powley, VP at Ferring, affirms: "Everyone has the right to build a family no matter who they are, or where they live.” He stresses that expanding provider access and education is key. We’re grateful to the experts, innovators, and advocates working toward more inclusive fertility care. Let’s keep breaking taboos, educating people, and advancing the conversation. 🧡 https://lnkd.in/eDFGbQYQ Alexis Cirel

Advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) in workplaces is a win-win for employees and business bottom line. Investing in women's reproductive health can impact more than 190 million women working in global supply chains. At this year’s #WEF25 in Davos we are proud to announce that Ferring has joined the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)’s Coalition for Reproductive Justice in Business.   As a Champion for the coalition Ferring is helping to launch a community of practice for global businesses advancing how we recognise, measure and advocate for SRHR, women’s health and wellbeing in the workplace and global supply chains.   Ferring’s Christelle Beneteau, Chief People Officer, had the honour of speaking at the World Economic Forum alongside co-hosts Bayer and Essity on the importance of prioritising reproductive justice. At Ferring we are already advancing SRHR for our employees through our Building Families at Ferring which supports colleagues in their family-building journeys. In addition, as part of our role as a UNFPA Champion, we will be adopting new SRHR metrics to measure how we are advancing reproductive rights and women’s health.   We believe that promoting reproductive justice in the workplace is essential for reducing inequalities and creating more inclusive environments at work.   #SRHR #Davos #ReproductiveRights #GlobalLeaders #UNFPA #BuildingFamilies

PSA: 78% of aspiring parents on Fertility Outreach have insurance, but did you know that 50% of them aren't aware they have fertility benefits? With new deductible structures and benefit changes looming, it’s essential for healthcare providers to help families fully understand their coverage options. Lack of awareness can lead to unexpected costs and delays in care, making it more important than ever to keep communication open. ➡️ Encourage your patients to review their insurance policies and offer guidance on how to maximize their fertility benefits. Our fertility coaches on Fertility Outreach powered by Fertility Out Loud, have valuable resources to educate and empower the fertility community, ensuring families have the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their benefits, deductibles, and care. https://lnkd.in/g7HzebbA Ferring Reproductive Medicine U.S. ©2024 Ferring.
