10 rail-road excavators at work on a major project in West Africa! 🚧 The Nigerian city of Kano is being connected to Maradi in the south of Niger - a route around 284 km long! Ten of our A 922 Rail Litronic are being used for this major railway infrastructure project. 💪 The tasks of the rail-road excavators on site include laying rails, sleepers, ballast and switches as well as maintenance work after completion of the railway line. #liebherr #liebherrfans #constructionsite #railroadexcavator #twoinone

Power trio at HEIS: #Liebherr earthmoving machines at work! 🚧 HEIS – Hargreaves-EWT Industrieservices GmbH uses our powerful earthmoving machinery for handling slag, soil stones and minerals. Alongside mining trucks and material handling excavators, XPower wheel loaders load material for crushers, screening plants and trucks. Two TA 230 articulated dump trucks take cooled slag from DK Recycling und Roheisen GmbH and drop it in heaps. An LH 40 M material handling excavator then sieves out ferrous material using a magnetic separation system. An L 576 XPower wheel loader then loads the roughly sorted slag into a screening plant, where it is crushed and refined to different sizes. Finally, trucks are loaded with the various grades of product before they sold as building materials and for the production of blasting abrasives. HEIS appreciates the fuel efficiency, reliability and clever maintenance concept of the robust machines!

Exceptional use of our crawler excavators in the Danube! Two of our R 938 crawler excavators are currently transporting around 80,000 tonnes of gravel from the Danube in Ulm (Germany) to the surface, which is then transported to a nearby gravel plant for further processing. The machines ensure a safe river passage and thus make a valuable contribution to flood protection for the city centre of Ulm. Both crawler excavators were filled with a bio-oil especially for this purpose and are also permanently monitored for oil leakage to ensure that contamination of the river water is excluded.
