🚴♀️🏃♂️🚶♀️ Join the Fox Chase Team at Amy’s Ride/Run/Walk Against Pancreatic Cancer 🚶♂️🏃♀️🚴♂️ Run, walk, or bike! Take part in person or virtually. It’s your choice as Amy’s Ride/Run/Walk gets underway to raise funds and awareness for pancreatic cancer research and care. ⏰When: This Saturday, May 18th 📍Where: Quakertown’s Krupp Park (aka The Park at 4th) Fox Chase Cancer Center is a gold sponsor and will have a team at this family-friendly event. All are welcomed to join (even pets!).   The event will take place in Quakertown’s Krupp Park (aka The Park at 4th) located on the historic Krupp Foundry site at 501 W. Mill St., Quakertown, Pa. On-site registration begins at 6 a.m. followed by the various activity options—from a 42-mile bike ride beginning at 7 a.m. to a 5K walk beginning at 9:30 a.m. and other choices in between. In addition, the Arts Alive! Fine Arts & Crafts Festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring artists, crafters, live entertainment, kids’ activities, food, wine, and more, at this location.   Participants can register under the Fox Chase team after they register for the event itself. There are also opportunities to donate and volunteer.(amysriderunwalk.com)   Funds raised benefit pancreatic cancer research programs and compassionate care initiatives through the Pancreatic Cancer Cure Foundation. To date, research recipients constitute the bulk of the foundation’s funding support and include Fox Chase Cancer Center.

It was our extreme honor and privilege to attend Dr. Edna "Eti" Cukierman's investiture ceremony at Fox Chase Cancer Center, honoring her as an Endowed Chair Holder of the Marvin and Concetta Greenberg Pancreatic Cancer Institute at Fox Chase Cancer Center. Representing PCCF were Tony and Jane Cygan. Bruce Platt of Pancreatic Cancer Action Network was also in attendance to honor Eti. "In academia, an endowed chair represents the highest honor an institution can bestow upon a faculty member." With leaders and innovators like Eti in the field, the future outlook of pancreatic cancer detection and treatment continues to show promise. Congratulations, Eti!
