As we come to the close of 2024, I wanted to share I was able to participate in an EV charging test at Nidec Conversion in Brooklyn Heights, Ohio using a Cybertruck to maximize the kW from their 360 kW EVSE. NIDEC's unit got up to 327 kW at the unit, with 326 kW delivered to the EV. Their device is well designed, and it functioned well using an air cooled arrangement. Well done Movses Tovmasyan, Mike Videmsek, and Ali Karvar! I am looking forward to seeing the liquid cooled version in action, and hopefully at up to 500 kW very soon. We will definitely need a bigger truck for that test.
