We're so excited about this project our sister company, PWNT, is working on that utilizes Suspended Ion-Exchange (SIX® - developed by PWNT) and potential it holds for the future of Water Reuse! 💧🌱 Check out the article: https://lnkd.in/gdHwC_Cr #missionwater #waterreuse
High salinity poses a major challenge for wastewater treatment and potable reuse. Traditional methods like reverse osmosis (RO) can effectively reduce salinity but often create brine waste streams that are difficult to manage. In a recent Treatment Plant Operator - TPOMag.com - Wastewater treatment news, technical articles & products. interview, Dr. Eva Steinle-Darling, Carollo's water reuse technical practice director, introduces Ion-Exchange-Based Advanced Treatment (XBAT) as a game-changing alternative. As Eva explains, “XBAT removes up to 50% of salinity while also addressing TOC, nitrate, bromide, and more—all without the drawbacks of RO’s brine waste.” This innovative technology uses suspended ion exchange (SIX® - developed by PWNT) paired with softening to tackle some of water treatment’s toughest challenges. With promising results in pilot testing, XBAT is paving the way for more sustainable and effective solutions in water reuse. Curious about how XBAT works and its potential impact on water reuse?
