Over a month of reading sessions at ZPHS Digwal, we’ve discovered that the magic of words lies in their ability to inspire courage, curiosity, and connection. We’ve watched hesitant readers transform into eager participants, shy questions bloom into bold ideas, and quiet classrooms come alive with laughter and wonder. These moments remind us: change doesn’t always roar—sometimes, it whispers, page by page. I had the privilege of visiting Zilla Parishad High School, Digwal, as part of a reading initiative organized by the Rotaract Club of Woxsen University. The 6th graders welcomed us with warmth and enthusiasm, showing me the pure joy that comes from curiosity and a love for learning. While we were there to encourage them to read, I learned just as much from them. Experiences like this highlight the power of community and the importance of coming together to support and uplift one another. They also serve as a reminder that education is never a one-way street—it’s a shared journey where everyone learns, grows, and inspires each other along the way. I am incredibly grateful to ZPHS Digwal for letting us participate in their day and to Woxsen University for encouraging us to engage in meaningful, transformative experiences. Through a collaborative fundraiser between the Woxsen Debate Club and the passionate students of BBA and B.Tech, Rotaract Club of Woxsen University successfully donated 100 books to those in need! 🎉 The event, A Friendly Battle: BBA vs. B.Tech, turned into an inspiring competition where both teams showcased not only their debating prowess but also their determination to make a difference. The funds raised through this battle were used to purchase books to aid libraries of government schools. A huge shoutout to everyone who participated, donated, and supported this endeavor. 🌍 Celebrating World Sustainability Day at Woxsen University! 🌍 On October 23, 2024, Woxsen University proudly celebrated World Sustainability Day in collaboration with the James A.F. Stoner Global Sustainability Club. The event brought together students, faculty, and staff to raise eco-consciousness in fun and creative ways. We hosted a No-Bag Day challenge, where students found imaginative ways to carry essentials, sparking conversations on sustainable habits. Engaging games like Memory Game, Heads Up, and Odd One Out offered a chance to unwind and learn, while our Sustainable Mehandi Stall was a hit for those looking to celebrate pre-Diwali festivities. To top it off, our Home-Grown Cacti Stall 🌵 allowed attendees to take home a piece of greenery to support sustainable living!
