It ensures that our students are prepared to be socially responsible citizens in a rapidly evolving world. At Woxsen university, our commitment to social responsibility is reflected in a wide array of initiatives, aligned with all 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our initiatives include educational workshops, conferences, sustainability projects, Community outreach, and engagement activities, awareness campaigns, social internship projects, skill-building programs that empowers rural communities and underserved populations. Woxsen University has garnered global recognition for its significant social impact and sustainability achievements, earning the highest Level 5 rating in the Positive Impact Rating (PIR) and Woxsen University has achieved global recognition as a PRME Champion for 2023, ranking among the top 47 universities and institutions worldwide.

Empowering Rural Women Entrepreneurs: A Path Toward Sustainable Growth On 22nd November 2024, the Dr.Prasad Padmanabhan's Finance Studio in collaboration with the Transforming Rural Youth TRY Club conducted an impactful session in Kamkole and neighboring villages, engaging with women entrepreneurs running small businesses like cosmetic shops, food stalls, and saree stores. The session addressed challenges faced by these women in their entrepreneurial journeys, focusing on: 📌 Access to Finance – Insights on the Grameen Bank scheme for easy business loans. 📌 Savings & Investments – Encouraging secure financial planning through post office and bank schemes. 📌 Business Growth Strategies – Practical tips for efficiency and expansion. 📌 Government Support – Awareness of central government schemes for backward classes. Organized by the School of Technology in association with COE (Advanced Energy Systems and New Age Technologies) The event saw the active participation of students, faculty, and industry experts, all eager to explore the sustainable approaches to recovering #rare #earth #elements (REEs) from e-waste. Dr. Balarama Murthy P V N presented a compelling solution to the e-waste crisis: reclaim valuable REEs through recycling, rather than relying on harmful traditional mining.
