Large scale hydrogen production has been safely operating for decades. But, with the increased demand for hydrogen as a fuel for fuel cell electric vehicles including cars, buses and trucks, small scale hydrogen production facilities are becoming more common. Whether they are based on existing technologies or designed to fit specific spaces and needs, these small-scale hydrogen production facilities bring the source of hydrogen closer to fueling stations to meet local demand.
