Helping entrepreneurs with health challenges such as autoimmune disorders and chronic pain live your best life!
About us
Helping entrepreneurs with health challenges such as autoimmune disorders or chronic pain create a life that supports YOUR business & YOUR healing so YOU can live life to its fullest! Having autoimmune disorders or chronic pain need not define us. And our bodies need not be perfect to live our perfect life. It’s time to shed the stigma and to learn how to overcome your obstacles. It’s time to grow your business and live the life you know you’re meant to live! Chronic pain is not fun. Autoimmune disorders might be ‘invisible’ – but the impact is anything but. The truth is, you CAN have an amazing life. You CAN run a successful business. You CAN thrive in all aspects of life. How do I know? Because I’ve been there. I am there! I live every day with multiple autoimmune disorders and with pain from injuries. And I LOVE life! And I coach other entrepreneurs with autoimmune disorders to achieve their own success. As an advocate for autoimmune wellness, I share a wealth of information and resources to help you along your journey, no matter where you are on that journey. As a community, we need to support each other, learn from one another and help each other grow. "By acknowledging your true limitations, you gain knowledge and freedom to overcome your challenges in a way unique to you, and to let your light shine. I refer to this as living by “The Power of I Can’t.”" Each of us has so much to offer and our illnesses need not define us. Together, we can work through awareness and acceptance of our limitations, decipher our true obstacles, learn how to overcome our own unique challenges, and lastly, focus on living the authentic life we are meant to live.

Does your health impact your ability to show up for your business in a consistent manner? Do you have some days where you feel focused and productive, only to have other days where you're energy is lacking? Perhaps you even need to rest or recover. I call this the cycle of setbacks! And it can keep you from achieving the success you desire. It's a frustrating cycle when you know you are capable of so much more. If you know my story, you know I had three shutdowns due to health in my first five years of entrepreneurship (2008 - 2013). The processes I share here are to help you: 1. understand the full impact health issues are having on your business and life (let's face it - they can have emotional, financial and further negative well-being implications) 2. pinpoint the biggest addressable challenge 3. determine creative solutions so you can grow your business in a sustainable manner. If you're ready to take action, this bundle is a great place to start. And it's significantly discounted for the holidays. Traditions! Do you love them or hate them? Or maybe a little of both? 🎄 As we change over time, merge families, lose loved ones, transform, or even return to our roots, it might be time to let go of some traditions to make room for the new. Or, it might be time to bring back a tradition you have long since let go. Traditions can include putting up your tree, exchanging names, cooking a certain meal, making lots of cookies, attending a special service, the order in which people open presents, volunteering at a food bank, dinner on Christmas Eve, or a game of football in the yard. They can vary widely, be complex or simple, and be passed from generation to generation or only practiced for a few years. Today, simply take a few moments and list the first 5 traditions that come to mind that you have practiced. As you write each one down, let yourself feel how each tradition makes you feel. No judgment, simply observe. If you listed a tradition that causes: 🎄physical pain (such as putting lights on the roofline) 🎄overwhelming fatigue (shopping or cooking all day) 🎄physical illness (triggers can be food, lighting, travel, and so much more) 🎄emotional turmoil (too much time with your special aunt) ... perhaps it's time to say goodbye to that tradition. If that's not possible, how can you minimize the impact? This is the time for fierce self-compassion, not people-pleasing. If you're creative, you just might accomplish both. If you wrote down a tradition that is one of your all-time favorites💖 and are bringing it back this year, drop it in the comments. I'll share two links in the comments. One is my online BalanceUP for the Holidays mini-course, where we explore this concept further. I'm offering the program at no charge through 12/24/24. I also walk you through identifying the holiday triggers that are most likely to wreak havoc on your holiday. The second links to a previous article with tips on managing a flare-up if you partake in one tradition too many! #invisibleillnesswarrior #invisibledisability #autoimmunewarrior #autoimmunedisease #wellbeingjourney #SelfCompassion

Holiday Tip: Remember Your Boundaries! What's one of the quickest ways to go from feeling great and enjoying the holidays to being exhausted, drained and overwhelmed? Or even experiencing a flare-up of undesired symptoms and fatigue? 🧧One of the quickest ways is by losing sight of your boundaries! As you prepare for the holiday season, remember your boundaries around: 🔔 Your holiday triggers (i.e. food, alcohol) 🔔 Your holiday activities (i.e. too many events, last-minute cleaning, too much cooking) 🔔 Your holiday wellness plan (protect your rest, make time for staying active) 🔔 Your business or work (say no to extra hours) 🔔 Stressors & Relationships (i.e. limit time with a nagging aunt, a critical in-law, etc.) If you are looking to define boundaries that truly serve YOUR well-being, keep reading. 🎁🎁I'm sharing my BalanceUP for the Holidays online course at no charge. Simply use the link in the comments below and enter HOLIDAYJOY as the coupon code.🎁🎁 You'll get immediate access to 5 five creative strategies for supportingyour well-being this holiday season, plus several bonus modules. This program is an oldie, but goodie! When you put YOU first in a healthy and loving way, you are able to show up your best for yourself and for those you care about most. This is an important reminder as we enter the holiday season. Give yourself #Selfcompassion as often and as much as needed. When we come from a place of first tending to our own needs, we are better equipped to engage with others.💛 This can look like enforcing boundaries around our own needs in a compassionate way or it might look like realizing we don't need to address an issue with another, at least not at this time. Sometimes it's best to let things go. Other times, it's in everyone's interest to have a conversation and address an issue at hand. 💕 Either way, by taking time to first pause and reflect in self-compassion, you are better equipped to make an insightful and intentional decision that supports your health and well-being. #invisibleillness #autoimmune #compassion

When dealing with someone who causes you pain, the first step isn’t about them—it’s about you. ✨ Hold space for your pain. Before thinking about how to handle the other person, pause to validate and nurture your own hurt. It’s okay to feel grief, anger, or sadness. This is tender self-compassion: the warm, nurturing care you give yourself when you need it most. ✨ Set boundaries with fierce self-compassion. Protecting yourself from harm is an act of love. Whether that means limiting contact or drawing clear lines, fierce self-compassion empowers you to prioritize your well-being. Compassion doesn’t mean ignoring your needs or tolerating harm—it means treating yourself with kindness while honoring your boundaries. #SelfCompassion #FierceCompassion #HealthyBoundaries #EmotionalWellness #CompassionInAction

Hi All! Do you ever downplay the impact health challenges are having on your life, work, or relationships? I know I certainly used to and the result was always more pain, more symptoms, and less energy for my work. In this article I wrote for Brainz Magazine, there are 5 questions under the "Awareness" heading to ask yourself. If you find you might benefit from reframing your narrative around your health, keep reading on how to do so and the benefits. If you have your own tip to share, please comment below. #invisibleillness #autoimmunedisease #autoimmunewarrior #wellbeingjourney #BalanceUPLifestyle
"Your relationship with your health is one of the most important connections you'll ever have. It influences every aspect of your life, from your daily routines to your long-term goals, how you see yourself, and even how others perceive you. Whether managing a chronic condition, recovering from an injury, or simply striving for overall wellness, how you approach your health can make all the difference. Yet, for many, this relationship can be complicated, filled with frustration, guilt, or even shame." Written by Simone Giangiordano, BalanceUP Business and Lifestyle Coach

When we make mistakes or get things wrong, having our own back makes us stronger than cutting ourselves down. It also helps us to thrive. 🌟 Research shows that self-compassion boosts happiness, life satisfaction, and motivation, improves relationships, and builds resilience in the face of life’s challenges.
