✨ A poster of the SUSTAINEXT project was presented last Tuesday in Madrid in the exhibition area dedicated to innovation at the I Spanish #BioCircularSUMMIT, the only congress in Spain that addresses the #biocircular sector as a whole. 🌱 Organised by BIOPLAT | Spanish Biocircularity Technology and Innovation Platform and BIOCIRC | Asociación Española de Biocircularidad, among the attendees there were both representatives of Natac (BME: NAT), coordinator of the project, and BIOPLAT | Spanish Biocircularity Technology and Innovation Platform, responsible for Communication and Dissemination. In front of an audience of more than 200 professionals dedicated to the different biocircular solutions, the SUSTAINEXT project stood out for its innovative commitment to biocircularity, focused on revolutionising the botanical extracts sector. ✨ The SUSTAINEXT project continues to excel in the field of dissemination, opening up new forums in which to reach all its stakeholders. This week, our coordinator and Project manager of Natac (BME: NAT), Alba María Ramos Pineda, was invited to the III Sustainability and Biodiversity Conference of UNEF Spanish Solar Association, held in the Spanish Parliament (Congreso de los Diputados). 🌱 She participated in the round table ‘Voices from the territory: Experiences of sustainability and local transformation through photovoltaic energy’, where she had the chance to present the SUSTAINEXT project as a success story. In her speech, she highlighted the commitment to an agrivoltaic model for the cultivation of aromatic and medicinal plants in #Extremadura (Spain), as a way to combine renewable energies with sustainable rural development. 🚀 With this high-level event, the project is off to a flying start for a busy first quarter. Stay tuned for more on what the project has in store! The SUSTAINEXT project will participate next 11 February in #BioCircularSUMMIT in Madrid. This event, organised by BIOPLAT | Spanish Biocircularity Technology and Innovation Platform and BIOCIRC | Asociación Española de Biocircularidad is the only forum in Spain that addresses the #biocircularity sector as a whole. On the occasion of the celebration of #InternationalCleanEnergyDay next Sunday (26 January), our colleague José Carlos Quintela (scientific director and co-founder of Natac (BME: NAT) has been interviewed by Corresponsables, a reference ally in the communication of organisations and individuals who want to highlight their responsible initiatives. "SUSTAINEXT project represents a unique opportunity to demonstrate that clean energies can be integrated into traditional industrial sectors. The 2024 call for project proposals evaluation has resulted in 30 innovative project proposals selected for €200 million of funding. These 30 projects, added to the 190+ completed and ongoing ones, are about more than just numbers – they are about creating a fair and #sustainable future for all. By supporting primary producers and civil society, we are ensuring that everyone shares the benefits of the growing #biobased sector. The SUSTAINEXT project was present at EuroTier, the world's leading trade fair for professional animal production and livestock management, which took place from 12 to 15 November in #Hannover (Germany). The SUSTAINEXT project has had a prominent presence throughout the National Environmental Congress (#CONAMA2024), held between 2 and 5 December in Madrid (Spain). If yesterday we highlighted the presentation of a poster and a technical publication by some of the partners of the consortium, today it has been the turn of José Carlos Quintela, Chief Scientific Officer at Natac (BME: NAT), who has intervened in the technical session Nº18 dedicated to ‘#Bioeconomy as an engine for the development of the rural environment’. His presentation, entitled ‘New generation and zero waste dynamic multi-product #biorefinery for the sustainable production of healthy ingredients: Demonstrating an inspiring model from Extremadura to the European bioindustry’ has served, once again, to give visibility to the SUSTAINEXT project and to highlight its innovation and added value for the region of #Extremadura.
