Transportation hubs can make incredible TEDx venues! In Bangkok, Thailand, TEDxBangkok took over the city’s central train station for a striking collaboration. There are plenty of perks to a public space with high foot traffic: it’s spacious, filled with food options and bathrooms and, of course, directly accessible by train. It also has plenty of additional potential attendees of all backgrounds who might be new to the TEDx world! The event area included an activity hub for people to share their visions for the future of their city through writing, listening and sharing their own voices, which were recorded into a collective “painting” created from audio waves and projected onto a wall for everyone to see. Additionally, by taking advantage of both natural sunlight from the windows and stage lighting that created a theatrical look, the team successfully transformed the event’s atmosphere throughout the day.
