We're proud to have been part of MadQCI project, Europe's largest and most complex network, that tested scalable Quantum Key Decryption (QKD) technology with Software-Defined Networking (SDN). Led by the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, with support from Telefonica, REDIMadrid and other QKD providers, we tested multiple QKD systems on existing fibres to test how SDN can be used to orchestrate networks featuring QKD. The results were positive and show QKD can play a key role in scaling up quantum-secure communications.
