Working Groups
Staff-led working groups include the following.
Racial Equity Team (RET)
The RET works to advance racial equity in the Library’s service model. Members develop staff learning opportunities, lead anti-racism projects and review policies.

Disabilities Access Committee (DAC)
Staff on the DAC work to enhance accessibility for people with disabilities. Members plan and create services that specifically serve those with disabilities. Read the Pathfinder blog to learn more about DAC.

Adaptive Programming Committee
The Adaptive Programming Committee (formerly INSIDERS) programs are geared towards teens and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Staff in this group create programs such as arts and crafts, socializing spaces and feature guest speakers.

LGBTQ+ Committee
Committee members plan events and projects throughout the year to celebrate and amplify LGBTQ+ voices at SJPL.

Staff develop programs to learn about community ideas, needs and concerns. This includes planning our quarterly Community Conversations.
