This document outlines an approach for building effective teams through facilitated dialogue. The approach aims to help team members address issues like trust, understanding, communication, cooperation and bonding that can impact a team's effectiveness. It involves participants sharing perspectives on thinking styles, communication preferences, work ethos and expectations to develop greater understanding and trust. An after action review follows to assess and reinforce outcomes. The program is generally 1-2 days of facilitated dialogue followed by a half or full day review within 1-3 months. The intended benefits are enhanced relationships, improved communication and cooperation, and better synergies and results.
