The Stratserv – Value Advantage
Future-Orientation
The participants of this 1-Day workshop will be
equipped to see and understand business or
organisational change with the Future in mind.
With insights on emerging developments on the
horizon, participants will be able to appreciate the
need for relevant changes to see the survival and
continued growth of the organisation ahead. This
will also enable them to make better informed
decisions on the types of change efforts they will
need to engage in. The participants will be able to
appreciate the role of Strategic Foresight in
helping them to better determine the relevance of
their change initiatives. This saves the organisation
the adverse costs of pursuing irrelevant initiatives
or efforts.
Participants will also be equipped to anticipate and
address the cross-impacts or consequences of
change decisions as well as processes. This will
help them effectively mitigate against adverse
possible outcomes that could be significantly
counter-productive for the organisation as a
whole. This objective is met with an emphasis on
Systems Thinking and Scenario Planning
embedded in the workshop programme.
Focus On Shareholder Value
The participants will learn about the changing
priorities of Business Leadership in an
organisation, as viewed by the CFO, who is widely
seen as the executive who ensures the interests of
the shareholder.
Every Change that an organisation faces and the
measures it takes to address it, has a bearing on
the end-value being created for the shareholder.
Participants will come to appreciate how 'Being
prepared for change' and 'knowing how to adapt'
puts one in a unique advantage over others in the
process of achieving the goal of maximizing
shareholder value.
Irrespective of the function an employee
represents within an organisation, his or her ability
to adapt to the changes in the operating
environment, determines his or her ability to
progress and create value for that organisation.
Participants will be able to appreciate the
implications of change at an organisational level
on their own functions and individual roles. They
will also be able to appreciate the implications of
their change responses and actions upon the
organisation's interest on a larger scale.
