The Saatva Classic above might be our top choice overall, but there's no getting away from that luxury price tag. The DreamCloud Hybrid is an excellent affordable alternative — it's over $1,000 cheaper at $665 for a queen. We awarded it a nearly perfect score in our DreamCloud mattress review, reporting that it’s comfortable for back and stomach sleeping in particular, and has a better build quality than other mattresses we've slept on in this price range, bar the Nectar Classic below. It doesn't have a new discount for Cyber Monday (the DreamCloud has cost the same all year, unless you choose the split king model, which does have an extra $100 off on top of the 50% discount), but you’ll struggle to find better value for money. This is the best mattress in a box we’ve slept on. Sure, it doesn’t have the same luxury feel as the Saatva, and it did take us longer to adjust because it’s on the firmer side of medium-firm. But once we did break it in, the DreamCloud Hybrid became one of the most comfortable mattresses we’ve tested. It’s also a better choice for heavier couples because its maximum weight capacity is 1,000lbs (compared to Saatva’s 600lbs).

The Nectar Classic is the best alternative to the DreamCloud for anyone looking for a memory foam mattress, rather than a hybrid. We recently finished testing the Classic (the new version of the popular Nectar Original) and loved sleeping on it in every position. It’s on the firmer side of medium-firm, like the DreamCloud, but offers more contouring and a gentle body-hug feel (you won’t get that with the DreamCloud). This Cyber Monday mattress deal isn’t new — you can buy a twin for $349 or a queen for $649 most months of the year — but these prices are excellent value, undercuting all the Nectar's rivals (except Dreamcloud). It’s the best memory foam mattress under $1,000 that we’ve tested, with excellent pressure relief and full-body support. It also dissipates excess body heat very well, making it worth considerarion from hot sleepers. The queen size did become $50 cheaper in a flash sale at the start of last month, but we don’t expect to see those prices returning for Cyber Monday. Like the DreamCloud, the Nectar Classic comes with a year's trial to make sure it's right, and a lifetime warranty.

Our top recommendation for a mattress under $250 is the popular Zinus Green Tea Memory Foam — which costs the same in Amazon’s Cyber Monday sale as it did on Friday (and indeed for the last few months). We gave it three and a half out of five stars when we reviewed a 10-inch version of this mattress — which is lower than the four and a half stars you’ll see on Amazon, but a respectable score for a mattress in this price range. It’s a basic all-foam mattress, and delivers decent pressure relief (including when you’re sleeping on your side). However, if you’re a very warm sleeper it’s probably not the best choice — try the Bear Elite Hybrid ($1,383 for a queen at Bear with code: TOMS40 instead). The Zinus Green Tea comes in a few different heights, ranging from 5-12 inches. We recommend the 10-inch version or higher for adults, but the thinner (and mostly cheaper) versions would suit younger children.

It's not often we see Walmart's excellent own-brand mattress below $300, but the retailer's Cyber Monday sale drops a queen from $317 to $284 — that's $15 cheaper than Memorial Day. This is a top-class budget mattress. We gave it 4 out of 5 stars in our review: it delivers fantastic support and it's great at isolating motion, so you're less likely to notice a partner tossing and turning. Two of our testers were so impressed with The Allswell's feel and affordability that they decided to buy one to replace their sagging foam mattress at home. It's not the best choice if you suffer from back pain, and it's not great for anyone who weighs over 200lb — in both cases you’ll need a higher-quality mattress, like the DreamCloud above. Otherwise, the Allswell offers impressive performance for the price and we highly recommend it.

While we alsways felt that flippable mattress designs are just gimmicks, This double-sided design surprised us during our Plank Firm mattress hands-on and we recommend it for stomach sleepers who experience lower back pain on softer beds. After dropping to 30% off for Black Friday, there's 'only' 25% off today, which brings a queen down to $999 from $1,332. It's a great price, but you could have bought it for $932.40 earlier in the week. 

3. Casper Sleep Element: twin from $395 now $276.49 at Amazon
The Casper Sleep Element is a chance to enjoy a Casper mattress for far less than you’ll pay for more advanced models. Made up of just two layers of foam, the upper layer is designed to provide cushioning, comfort and pressure relief, while the base is sturdy support foam that helps to keep the lumbar region aligned. It’s a great choice for stomach sleepers, who will appreciate the firm support but if you weigh over 230lbs we’d recommend the Helix Dusk Luxe instead. The mattress is only sold through third-party retailers, with Amazon often having deals on the bed. This Cyber Monday offers takes a queen size down to $416.49 from its MSRP of $595.

1. Puffy Cloud Mattress: twin from $1,849 $499 at Puffy In our Puffy Cloud mattress review, we named this all-foam option the best memory foam mattress for back sleeping thanks to its firm support. It also has excellent motion isolation and temperature regulation, even if its cooling cover does make it a little slippery. For Cyber Monday, you can get a queen for $949 (MSRP: $2,299) plus free shipping, a 101-night sleep trial, and a lifetime warranty.

2. Leesa Studio Mattress: twin from $549 $411 at Leesa We found this mid-range all-foam bed to be surprisingly supportive enough for back sleeping during our Leesa Studio mattress hands-on review. The 30% off sale we saw earlier in the week has bounced back up to 25%, which means that a queen is $599 from $799. Benefits include a 10-year warranty, 100-night trial, and free delivery.

1. Brooklyn Bedding Aurora Luxe: twin from $1,199 now $899.25 at Brooklyn Bedding
The Brooklyn Bedding Aurora Luxe is one of the best cooling mattresses you can buy, keeping sleepers cool with a GlacioTex cooling cover and ‘dynamic cooling’ foam. In our Brooklyn Bedding Aurora Luxe mattress review, our testers found that the cover stayed cool throughout the night, preventing them from overheating. With three firmness options to choose from (soft, medium, firm), you can also choose the right one for your sleeping style and body weight. With plenty of cushioning comfort from the Cloud Pillow Top (which we recommend adding), pressure points are alleviated while the mattress still maintains excellent lumbar support. Today's Brooklyn Bedding takes 25% off for Cyber Monday, taking a queen down to $1,698.75. It's a great deal, but isn't quite as strong as the $1,585.50 price we saw earlier in the week but still considerably lower that the MSRP of $2,265.

3. Casper Snow Max Mattress: twin XL from $3,125 from $1,875 at Casper
We think this is a good cross between Casper's two popular mattresses. the Casper Snow and the Dream Hybrid. Compared to the other two memory foam cooling beds, this is a medium-firm mattresses with a 7-layer hybrid construction combining align memory foam, flex support coils and specialist cooling technology. This has twice the more HeatDelete bands than the base model along with the brand's signature Snow technology and a top layer of Soothe Memory foam preventing night-sweats. We recommend it most suitable for combination sleepers as it provides excellent support for all sleeping positions. Now Cyber Monday deals are in full swing, Casper has increased the discount from 30% to 40% dropping the MSRP of a queen from $3,745 to $2,245 the cheapest this year.

1. Saatva RX: twin from $1,995 now $1,595 at Saatva
Taking the top spot in our best mattress for back pain guide, the Saatva RX is specifically designed to help ease chronic back pain with its enhanced lumbar support and Therapeutic Support Core, which allows the mattress to adjust to a sleepers' movements. In our Saatva RX Mattress review our lead tester noticed a reduction in her pain levels from the first night. Saatva's $400 off Cyber Monday deal takes a queen down to $2,895 (was $3,295). The discount is the best we've seen all year on smaller sizes but, if you're not in a rush to buy, you might want to hold out for a 15% sale on larger sizes. It's a fantastic mattress but if it's simply too expensive, take a look at the DreamCloud at #2 below.

2. DreamCloud Hybrid Mattress: twin from $1,130 now $419 at DreamCloud
If you love the look of the Saatva RX, but simply can't afford its high price tag, consider the DreamCloud Hybrid instead. In our DreamCloud mattress review we found the mattress to be comfortable in all sleeping positions (although it did take side sleepers a little while to get used to the medium firm feel), with the mattress offering excellent lumbar support to ease and improve any back pain. DreamCloud's evergreen discounts mean you'll never pay full MSRP for a mattress and a queen size has been discounted to $665 (was $1, 613) since the beginning of the year. It's the best mattress in a box we've slept on but only comes in one firmness option so, if you want more choice, consider the WinkBed below at #3.

3. The WinkBed Mattress: twin from $1,149 now $849 at WinkBeds
The WinkBed is a customizable mattress with four firmness options (soft, luxury firm, firm and plus), meaning you can tweak the bed to your sleeping style and body weight. In our WinkBed mattress review, we tested the luxury firm version, finding that the brand's 3-Step Back Relief System and enhanced lumbar support did a fantastic job of easing back pain. There's no rush to buy this mattress, as the $300 off is an evergreen deal that permanently takes a queen down to $1,499 (MSRP $1,799). Temperature regulation is a little average on the WinkBed so, if you do sleep warm, we'd recommend the DreamCloud above at #2 above.

1. Purple Plus Mattress: twin from $1,499 now $1,199 at Purple
Described as both soft and firm in our Purple Plus Mattress review, Purple's unique GelFlex Grid provides firmer support around the lumbar region, with softer cushioning at pressure points such as the shoulders. This unique blend that adapts to the body means the mattress is fantastic at soothing away joint pain, no matter how you sleep. A queen is reduced by $380 from $1,899 to $1,599, which isn't the biggest discount we've seen on this size (some Purple sales offer $400 off), but you will save more on larger sizes. The feel isn't for everyone though so, if you want a more traditional hybrid feel, try the Nolah Evolution below at #2. It is a great choice if you're a hot sleeper though - Purple mattresses are some of the best cooling mattresses on the market.

2. Nolah Evolution 15" Mattress: twin from $1,499 now $924.35 at Nolah with code: TOMS50OFF
The Nolah Evolution comes in three different firmness options (plush soft, luxury firm and firm), which allows sleepers to choose the right one for their body type and sleeping style. In our Nolah Evolution 15" mattress review, we tested the luxury firm, with our testers praising it for relieving joint and lower back pain in particular. 35% off for Cyber Monday takes a queen size down to $1,624 (was $2,499) along with two free pillows. Plus, entering the code TOMS50OFF will get you a further $50 off the sale price. This is up on the usual evergreen 30% discount you'll find with the Nolah throughout the rest of the year. Temperature regulation was a little inconsistent on the Nolah though so, if you're a hot sleeper, we'd recommend the Purple Plus at #1.

3. Nectar Luxe Mattress: twin from $1,696 now $999 at Nectar
Side sleepers with joint pain will particularly appreciate the cushioning from the Nectar Luxe, which our testers in our Nectar Luxe mattress review felt 'hugged' their joints, soothing away aches and pain. Although it's an all-foam mattress, the Luxe has a medium firm feel that means you'll sleep 'on' the mattress rather than sinking too far in. It's a great fit for side and back sleepers, but a little too soft for strict stomach sleepers. Temperature regulation is also distinctly average so we'd again recommend the Purple at #1 for those who sleep hot. A queen-size Nectar Luxe is on sale right now for $1,149 (MSRP $3,424), which includes an extra $100 that's added at checkout. With this mattress only recently being released, this is the best price we've seen so far and would therefore recommend grabbing it while you can.

1. Tempur-Pedic Tempur-Adapt Mattress: twin from $1,699 $1,499 + $300 free gifts at Tempur-Pedic
The Tempur-Adapt's Tempur Material is designed to absorb virtually every movement. In our review, we called the bed's motion isolation "incredible"and felt that you could share a bed with a restless partner and sleep undisturbed. However, it is a splurge and the 90-night sleep trial and 10-year warranty are relatively short considering the price. Still, there's up to $400 off with this early Cyber Monday mattress deal, and a queen is $200 off at $1,999 (was $2,199).

2. Leesa Sapira Hybrid Mattress: twin from $1,349 $944 at Leesa
The Leesa Sapira Hybrid's terrific motion isolation was a particular standout feature in our Leesa Sapira Hybrid mattress review, as was the gentle contouring for side sleepers (but it's likely too soft for stomach sleepers). A 25% Black Friday discount has now morphed into a 30% Cyber Monday mattress sale, so a queen is down from $1,399 to $1,999. 2. DreamCloud Premier Mattress: twin from $1,395 now $649 at DreamCloud
The DreamCloud Premier is a step-up from the DreamCloud Luxury Hybrid and the better choice for sleepers who need a higher level of comfort and support, plus deeper pressure relief. In short, it’s a better match for people with chronic joint pain but who can’t stretch to the cost of the Saatva RX ($2,895 at Saatva). It’s more expensive at $949 for a queen, but you can save an extra $100 off this Cyber Monday on top of the 50% evergreen discount when you buy the king size up. This extra $100 matches the largest discount we saw during Black Friday and the prices are the same too. We expect the $100 extra saving to disappear when Cyber Monday ends so you don’t have long to save more on the biggest sizes.

3. Saatva Memory Foam Hybrid Mattress: twin from $1,295 $895 at Saatva
This is the cheapest mattress you can buy in the Saatva Cyber Monday sale outside of the babies and kids range, with a queen reduced to $1,445 (was $1,995). Hot sleepers usually don’t fare well with all-foam mattresses, but we tested the Cocoon by Sealy Chill and rate it highly for dissipating excess body heat to keep you cool while sleeping. It’s designed with a Phase Change Material cover to absorb then wick away heat and sweat, with premium memory foam dolloping on the pressure relief to ease aches and pains. Unlike some of the other deals in this Cyber Monday round-up you don’t need to rush your decision on the Cocoon by Sealy Chill Memory Foam as we see it on sale with this 35% discount every month. Still, we think it’s great value for money with a queen reduced to $699 (was $1,079) and you get up to $199 of free luxury cooling bedding too. The most luxurious iteration of the Helix Midnight range, the Midnight Elite provides exceptional pressure relief for side sleepers with a plush finish you can't help sinking into (we certainly couldn't resist in our Helix Midnight Elite mattress hands-on). With a dual microcoil layer and integrated cooling cover for hot sleepers, it's certainly more advanced than the rest of the Midnight models, although that does mean it's the most expensive. Stearns & Foster is the brand behind the Ritz-Carlton bed, and you can enjoy a similar luxury from the Lux Estate. While we haven't tried the Lux Estate, we did get a chance to test the Stearns & Foster Estate mattress. One of our big problems with the Estate was a lack of medium feel, but that's fixed with the Lux; for a true hotel feel, we recommend choosing the Medium Pillow Top. With $400 off all sizes, a medium queen with pillow top is $3,199 (was $3,599) and comes with a free Estate Bedding Bundle. The Cyber Monday sale is similar to the Black Friday deal (except for a different gift) so we think this is the best price we'll see this sale season.

One of our favorite mattresses for soothing back pain, our Tempur-Pedic Tempur-Adapt mattress review panel enjoyed how the dense Tempur Materials were able to balance both support and pressure relief. A few days ago Tempur-Pedic offered a free $300 Visa gift cardwith purchase, so if you aren't in a rush to buy, we're keeping our fingers crossed it will return. If not, while Tempur-Pedic sales are often short-lived, this saving comes around semi-frequently. The Tempur-Adapt does come with free white glove delivery, but the other benefits are disappointing: just a 90-night trial and 10-year warranty.

3. Purple Rejuvenate Mattress: twin from $4,495 now $3,795 at Purple
Most Purple mattresses come rolled up in a box, but the luxurious Rejuvenate range is so thick (15.5 inches at least) and sturdy it simply can't be folded – so free flat delivery is included. Like all Purple mattresses, the Rejuvenate features the GelFlex Grid technology, although here you'll find the GelFelx Grid plus, which provides even more support. In our review we were particularly impressed with the lasting pressure relief. Purple has upped its deals for Cyber Monday and you can now save up to $925 on the Rejuvenate, with $750 off the queen reducing it to $4,475 (was $5,495). We don't think it'll get any better than this, but Purple can be unpredictable.

This is an older model (the newer Natural Luxury Hybrid Mattress is $849 for a queen at Awara) but we described the original as possessing "superb build quality" and strong edge support in our Awara Natural Hybrid Mattress review. We doubt that's changed.

The Nectar has been one of our favorite all-foam beds for a while now and the recent refresh continued to impress our Nectar Mattress review panel. The $649 price for a queen is nothing unusual; apart from a few brief flash sales, it's been the same price for most of 2024. The Tempur-Cloud mattress uses Tempur Material foams – aka the original memory foam – to create a slow-moving, body-hugging feel that's just right for side sleepers. It can sleep warm, but our Tempur-Pedic Tempur-Cloud mattress review panel praised the exceptional pressure relief. The 30% off Cyber Monday sale is a semi-regular saving from Tempur-Pedic, and reduces a queen to $1,399.30 (was $1,999). We expect this deal to return for the next Tempur-Pedic sale, but if you shop now you'll also get two free Tempur-Pedic pillows and that's a bonus we don't see very often.

1. Bear Elite Hybrid mattress: twin from $1,893 now from $1,135.80 at Bear
This mattress comes in three firmness levels. As usual we recommend the firm (7 out of 10 firmness) option for heavier bodies, especially those who tend to run hot at night (the Bear Elite Hybrid is our #1 cooling mattress of the year). Designed with high gauge coils providing a responsive sleep surface that you sleep onto of rather than sinking in to, this mattress is tall and sturdy enough to support heavier bodies. There is almost always 35% off and two free pillows with the Bear Elite Hybrid, but Bear have hiked that discount up to 40% off with our code TOM40 this cyber weekend and you'll still get the free pillows and lifetime warranty. This is a rare discount that we can't see sticking around long.

This is the mattress for hot, heavy sleepers looking to splurge on luxury sleep. The brand run regular promotions and we are used to seeing Purple mattress sales take around $200 off MSRP. 3. Saatva Solaire Mattress: twin from $3,295 now $2,895 at Saatva
The Saatva Solaire isn't a smart bed in the sense that the others here are. It isn't controlled via a mobile app and it doesn't provide sleep tracking. So, what makes it smart? Where the Solaire excels is in adjustable firmness. It has 50 precise firmness options that enable you to customize the feel of this luxurious mattress, and is operated with a good, old-fashioned remote control. These features make it a great choice for less tech-savvy people who are kept awake by muscle pain. However, Black Friday isn't the best time to buy more expensive Saatva mattresses like the Solaire. If you need it now, the best deal gives you a $400 price cut, but you're better off waiting for a percentage discount (which we see in general Saatva sales rather than at major sale events) for the biggest savings on this one.

Amazon: Lucid, Zinus and more in Cyber Monday sale
Amazon is the land of cheap mattresses - it’s particularly good for a toddler beds, with six-inch twin mattresses from $76 (the Zinus Green Tea Memory Foam at $89, down from $104, is our top recommendation). But in addition to brands like Zinus, Lucid and the Amazon Basics range, you'll also find cheaper older models from more recognizable brands such as Nectar, Casper and DreamCloud. One deal that's well worth a look is the now-retired Nectar Copper Premier mattress, which is around $200 cheaper at Amazon than it is at Walmart.

Best Buy: up to $400 off big-name mattress brands
Best Buy’s Cyber Monday sale is packed with deals from the likes of Serta, Sealy, Casper and Nectar, plus there’s decent stock on some cheaper mattresses too from Linnespa and Lucid. If you don't mind getting an older mattress it's worth a look - we found some of the newer mattresses to be cheaper to buy directly from the manufacturer though (such as Tuft & Needle).

Macy's: up to 70% off older models from big-name brands
If you’re just looking for the biggest discount possible, try Macy’s. The retailer is well-known for its enormous discounts on older models (all year around, not just on Cyber Monday). Right now there’s up to $2,000 off - but make sure you read the terms and conditions properly and know the refund policy, especially if you're buying a mattress in a blow-out sale. These items can't usually be returned, so you'll need to be sure you like what you've chosen.

Walmart: budget mattresses from $65 for Cyber Monday
There's up to 60% off mattresses at Walmart right now, with big savings on cheaper mattress brands, such as Linenspa, Zinus, NapQueen and Novilla. One standout deal is the full Linenspa Explorer 6-inch Firm Tight Top Innerspring Mattress for $88.88 at Walmart (was $219.99; the queen has sold out at $98.88). While that will be too thin to provide meaningful support for most adults, it's a good on an innerspring mattress for a child, teen or guest room. We also really like Walmart’s own mattress brand, Allswell - the flagship Hybrid model is around $30 cheaper than Memorial Day.

1. Casper Comfy Mattress Topper: twin from $199 now $179.10 at Casper
This is our best mattress topper for side sleepers thanks to the cushioning memory foam and a supportive base layer. It has a perforated foam design meaning it’s cool for a memory foam topper. While our tester thought the topper’s pressure relief is perfect for side sleeping, stomach and back sleepers might want something more firmer for a healthy spinal alignment. The Springspirit mattress protector is made with ultra soft, breathable fabric and is 100% waterproof thanks to a laminated back, meaning it is able to soak up spills or sweat before it stains your mattress. Fitting snugly to your mattress, it promises not to affect the comfort of your bed. With 46% off a queen size is now $12.88 (was $24.99). That's its lowest price and is one of the best Cyber Monday mattress protector deals we've seen on Amazon.

1. Gravity Weighted Blanket: from $250 $94.99 at Gravity
It was Gravity’s micro-plush duvet cover and the weight fill of fine-grade glass beads which made it the top comfort choice in our best weighted blanket guide. Gravity stands out with gridded stitching for fair distribution of weight providing maximum comfort. The inner weight layer is attached to the cover using ties, elastic button connectors and zippers. The cover is machine washable while the inner layer should be hand washed and air dried.
