The sky view is wide and the night view is beautiful. Downstairs are Monument to the people's Liberation and Bayi Yummy Street. The traffic is very convenient from the subway entrance. The geographical location is unique. The local hotel is clean and sanitary. Every day, there are aunts who clean the room. It is also very pleasant and comfortable to stay in. In particular, the hotel service is very good and humane, and the service standard is good and convenient. It gives people a warm and homely feeling. We were informed in advance of the nearby check-in routes and guides, making our travel very convenient. Auntie also cleans up every day, wandering around Chongqing during the day and always coming back to the hotel clean at night. The most important thing is that the room has a beautiful view from a high altitude, and the night view of the distant river is also very beautiful. Front desk 微微provides enthusiastic service

After experiencing the excitement of the city and the Internet celebrity feeling in Chongqing, I happened to search for Pucun! Very close to the city and the airport, Pucun made me feel why Chongqing is called a mountain city. It is really a good place to relax after the hustle and bustle! It was such a surprise. Although it was only two days and one night, the boss's design aesthetic and the B&B experience on the terraced slopes allowed us to experience many different beautiful scenery. The room is simple and has good facilities and equipment. The Dyson hair dryer is very comfortable. I like it very much. It is warm and high-end! Experience the chirping of the robin during the day, and fall asleep to the sound of frogs at night, as well as the bamboo forest among the pines. It just happened to rain in Chongqing. The clouds and mist in the mountains in the morning and the new rain in the empty mountains were very healing. Chongqing is really charming! Chongqing has 3D and is also a mountain city! The ingredients picked in Pucun are hard to come by. The plums just came out recently, so sweet! The butler was attentive and accompanying me throughout the whole process, very considerate! I like Pucun very much and will come to Pucun next time!

Chongqing West Railway Station/Baguocheng
Perfect for me, but not for everyone. Location: I personally do not like staying in central commercial areas in whichever city I decide to travel to (due to the traffic and noise), however, I still prefer to be as close as possible so as to be able to and back from the city centre without having to spend too much time and energy which would ultimately turn my holiday into a task rather than a time of relaxation -and so the location of this commercial apartment was perfect for me; 12.8km to jiefangbei 解放碑步行街 (20-30 minutes in a taxi), people’s square 重庆人民广场 (20-30 minutes in a taxi), 9km to ciqikou ancient town 磁器口古镇 (15-25 minutes in a taxi), 14.2km from the graffiti street 重庆涂鸦一条街(30-40 minutes in a taxi), 6.3km from the ronghui hot springs 融汇温泉 (15-25 minutes in a taxi). The room was also perfect for any days I did not want to go out travelling as it is a quiet, green area which is nice for walks, and in addition to that there are so many supermarkets and restaurants downstairs with anything you’d want to eat from Chongqing, and with all the daily necessities you’d need. Room and value for money: Excellent. The room isn’t exactly luxurious, but at roughly 140 yuan per night, you get more than what you pay for. Clean, tidy, washing machine, kettle, fridge, bath towels, TV, cupboard, wardrobe, table, chairs, balcony etc. everything you need. Hot water works fine albeit the water must run for a minute or so before the water gets hot. Service: As soon as I booked the room, I contacted the owner and she then proceeded to add my WeChat - from there on she was very attentive and replied to any message I sent her within 10 minutes and even helped me out to get the Chongqing green code when I was on the train from Shanghai. She also offered to send a cleaner to my room any time I wish if I found that my room got too messy. Summary: Extremely satisfied, and would recommend to anyone wanting to visit the main attractions in Chongqing without having to deal with the noise and traffic of the very centre of the city, and who would like the added convenience of being able to wash your own clothes without having to wait for a dry cleaner.
The Move River View Hotel (Chongqing Jiefangbei Hongyadong)

Review There are definitely Pros and Cons. Pros - location location location, very convenient, nearby tourist spots Jiefangbei, Hongyadong and shoppingmalls, great for shopping and cooling down in the hot summers. - Spacious rooms (family room) with eye for detail for the kid. A tent, slippers, kids toothbrush, etc. - Service, staff is very helpful, thinks with you. 前台小孫和客房蔣姐. - Free washing/cleaning service. In the morning you can bring the clothing (max 5 pieces) and in the evening you can pick it up. Cons - The building is old. It hosts about 10 different kinds of hotels. The Move is situated at the 20th floor. - The elevators are old, creaky. There are on a good day 3 elevators. On a bad day just 2 available. Waiting time can go up to 10 minutes. And the elevator will be very crowded. - everything is written in Chinese. You need to read and speak some Chinese. The staff is not use to English speaking tourists. - You will get a fine if you break or loose something. At least, a list of things and the price is shown in the room. For example a cup ¥30, the lights ¥300 or TV ¥3000. A tip: check if things work on the first day/hour. - There are in the night at the entrance floor lots of business cards for call girls. If you staying with kids, it’s actually not okay. - There is no privacy in the room, walking out of the shower, your partner (and kid) can see you naked. - There are lots of groups of light switches, in every corner. There is one master switch. If you use that one everything will be switched off, the lights including the airco. If you still want to have the airco working, you need to switch off all the different lights in every corner. Otherwise you might get sweaty in the middle of the night. - On the first day of our arrival, another guest complained that the photos on the website do not match with the room. I recommend that you look at the room first, in any case the reception is willing to help out (if rooms are available). - On the day of check out, the staff will ask/push you to give a (good) review. Be prepared.

The hotel in a great location and was clean and presentable. Little rustic getting older looking with rooms and bathrooms. Our issue was only the breakfast was poor terrible morning drinks on offer tasteless and bland and breakfast not really suitable for foreigners mostly Chinese breakfast. If you staying there as foreigner don’t have the breakfast better to eat out nearby the Raffles City Mall. Mostly oily and greasy horrible food poorly cooked and limited breads to cereals. I’d like to see more Western choices and not just a fried egg. No omelette being cooked fresh no decent pastries or pancakes along with good bacon or even hash browns, tomatoes, mushrooms even baked beans. Very little space to eat breakfast being a fight to get or share tables. Honestly not sure I’d stay there again. Better breakfast and stay at the Kempinski Hotel in Chongqing despite being a further bit out.

When we first arrived at the hotel in Chongqing, we could tell it was going to be a good experience. It was one of the hotels we stayed at during our trip and it really stood out because of its good price, nice location, being very clean, and having great service. Everyone who worked at the hotel was very friendly. The people who welcomed us, the ones who helped us check in quickly, and the people who cleaned our room made us feel very special. They were all very kind and paid attention to the little things, which made our stay very nice. We really enjoyed the food from room service too. There were many tasty choices that were more delicious than we expected. Eating these meals made our time at the hotel even better. Our room was high up and had an amazing view of Chongqing. This made our stay even more special. We chose a room for smokers, but the air in our room was still fresh because the air system worked really well. The hotel was in a great place for getting around the city. There was a metro station close by which was very handy. For those visiting, we suggest using Didi for getting around because it's cheap and taxis find it easy to get to the hotel. The hotel looked really nice too, including the lobby and all the areas we saw. Breakfast was incredible, with lots of different foods from both Western and Eastern styles. It was great to have so many choices. Also, it was helpful that some of the hotel staff could speak English, which we didn't find everywhere. They even had robots helping out, which was really cool and modern. This hotel in Chongqing had lots of great points like excellent service and cleanliness. It's a really good choice in Chongqing for anyone looking for a place that offers a good deal, great service, cleanliness, and a convenient location. We're very thankful to everyone there for making our visit a good one, and we would happily stay there again.
Mengka Holiday Inn

Fairy Mountain Scenic Area
When we pulled up to a Mengka Holiday Inn, covered in a dusting of fresh, crisp snow, my partner and I exchanged excited glances. Coming into the lobby, we were greeted with a warm, friendly smile and an easy check-in experience - something that can be difficult to obtain as a foreigner in China these days. Climbing up the spiral staircase to our room, we felt as though we had struck gold. Wow! We opened the door, before walking into a beautiful, tastefully decorated room with a huge bathtub! The pictures on trip do the room no justice (nor do mine)! The location was a little difficult if you have no car but the gentleman on the desk kindly offered us a ride to the nearest bar, excellent! It was when we returned that problems began to arise. We had noticed that the toilet didn’t flush earlier, but this didn’t seem a massive problem. However, we now realised that both the shower and the bath had no hot water. Suddenly, the lights went out. The electricity had gone down. This meant that we had no heating and no hot water in -3 temperatures. It took until around 2am for the electricity to be restored but the heater was inadequate for the room size. The electricity flashed on and off again in the morning. We left for another hotel the next morning after a restless, cold night. Without these issues, I would consider this hotel to be an utter gem. The staff are kind and accommodating and the amount of windows in the room means that a lot of natural lights gets in, including the sunrise - through the window by the bath. Perhaps during summertime these problem are less common, and there were enough positives to warrant a return, but if you do book, make sure to check if there is hot water and that the electricity is working because if not, it’s just not worth it.
Bolian Resorts & Spa Chongqing

One of the best stays in China as a foreign traveller! The hotel and its facilities are excellent, clean and well furnished with every detail taken care of. The surrounding views of the mountains and rivers are stunning and the hotel is ideally situated just out of the city in the mountains. Our room included a outdoor natural hot spring as well as pool overlooking the river. The bathroom also had a hot spring/bath inside. The hot springs are some of the best we have been to and were included in the stay along with breakfast and a private morning yoga session. Steve and the team were incredible and looked after us during the entire stay - he assisted us with our booking, check-in, dinner and spa reservations as well as assisting us with anything else we needed, all in English. There were also English copies of the menus in the restaurant and translations throughout the hotel and stay which was a massive help, especially being foreign guests at the hotel. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel which were both great. The breakfast consisted of local Chinese (The Chongqing Noodles are an absolute must) as well as international options. For dinner, we asked Steve to recommend traditional, local dishes and he took care of the rest. The Duck, Salted Goose and Lotus root were our top picks from this. There is of course a very wide selection of international dishes to choose from as well. The hotel is the perfect blend between modern 5 star luxury and a traditional, nature stay. We highly recommend Bolian to anyone looking for the perfect escape from the city. We will certainly be back!

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Firstly the ground floor reception isn’t that of the hotel. You need to use the lift and go directly up to floor 21 to check in. It was a bit confusing for us. The room was very clean and modern. The tv screen is a projector so very big. There was plenty of room for luggage etc. You can go up to floor 21 reception room which has a bar area or 22 at the roof for the wonderful city view especially at night. The hotel provides free snacks in the evening in the reception area. We got some delicious mango pudding and ice cream. If you want to go to Kuixing building, the guests have direct access via floor 22 so the hotel is very well located to see both the shopping side of the city from the roof and to Hongya Cave from the bottom floor from which it is about a 10 minute walk. There are bao places on the street below if you want early morning breakfast and convenience stores accessible from either the 22nd floor or the ground floor. Even though we didn’t know Chinese, the staff were all very helpful!
