This hotel has a noble feel! The friends who went there fell in love, saying they liked it more than Ritz-Carlton in Santa Barbara. I heard that there are many swimming pools, but we only saw one. The hotel grounds are too big, take a walk and take a look. If you are a golfer, you will love the environment more! Its daily activities are also very rich. We participated in a qigong meditation at 9:00 in the morning, and it felt very good. There are free yoga classes and the like. Not boring There are some restaurants to eat and drink ten minutes drive from the hotel. The environment is also super nice in that area, and it feels like a rich area. A hotel worth visiting. I will visit again!

Very good hotel, whether it is software and hardware and the environment, basically no choice. Mainly talk about the environment. If you live, try to choose the valley view side, it will be more comfortable than watching the pool. It's just that the price of golf is too high to match the price of American courses.

I stayed here for one day last year and couldn't get enough, and this time I stayed for three days and still couldn't get enough. Mainly because the place is large and there are few people. This time I specially brought a tennis racket, and I take my son to play tennis several times a day. This is the best maintained outdoor tennis court I have ever seen. If we talk about the shortcomings, the hotel's meals are generally cost-effective.
- TONG
We'd come three times a year if we could afford it! The beach is the best, especially for young kids. The tennis courts are wonderful. It has it all from good food and drink to an amazing setting to a playground to a pool... if only it had a jacuzzi, it would be 100% perfect. Yes, it's a big splurge. But it's such a great place.

The snacks and refrigerator in the suite are empty, and I call every day to ask for water. No one picks up the busy food delivery service on weekends, or takeaway is fast. The point is that it is completely different from the room in the picture. It is recommended to look at the official website. Anyway, it is uncomfortable to live in. Figure 4 is the photo on Ctrip, Figures 1 to 3, the reality map

The room is small but the terrace is very nice. The view is very beautiful. The facilities are old. The service is warm. We parked the car in the parking lot of a business building on the right hand side of the hotel.

Stayed for 4 days and overall I am very satisfied. First of all, the location is very close to the San Diego Convention and Exhibition Center next to it. You can also go directly to the Convention and Exhibition Center from the first floor, which takes 7 minutes; The second is the environment, with sea view, there are two swimming pools on the first floor; from the first floor, it is about two kilometers of citywalk, and you can walk along the seaside to the Victory Kiss sign check-in place The hotel's sanitation/facilities and services are quite good, and there is a Chinese-speaking front desk reception. The only downside: the price is expensive
- Missxiong
The hotel is located in the city center. In the gas lamp block, there are many red men and women every day. There are very few Chinese people. Many foreigners should come to vacation. After paying for Ctrip, they will have to pay the resort fee after check-in, which is about 40 dollars a night. But the other us grant, which is relatively resident, has a price/performance ratio and will not stay in this hotel. As a hotel, professionalism is a little lacking. The facilities are just like American hotels. Basically, all of them need to be equipped and there is no hot water bottle.

The hotel that sent the children to school is very close to UCSD. The hotel environment is very good. Many people are married. It seems that it is a good hotel in the local area. Unfortunately, accompanying children at school every day, I have not had time to visit the hotel to enjoy the SPA. When the hotel was departed, the hotel deducted the tax and returned to Ctrip to help back, thank you!
- SHENG
The location is good, the environment is quiet, the interior space and the landscape setting are small, very pleasant and homely. The restaurant in the hotel is also very good, the scale is not big, the dishes are not many, but the environment is first class, and the dining is very experienced.

I made a reservation through Agoda to stay at Hotel Iris from 4/15 - 4/18/22. On my arrival after a drive of over 400 miles I was greeted by a very friendly woman at the front desk who made the check-in very quick and easy and gave me the key card to room 249. Upon entering the room I noticed that the carpet had not been vacuumed or at least not very well. Then when I went to wash my hands I saw hair stubble in the sink and when I went to dry my hands there were no towels. So naturally I went to call the front desk and there was no phone in the room. I walked down to the office and informed the clerk of the missing towels and said I would go to dinner and she said she would have them delivered to my room after I had said it was fine to enter my room while I was gone. I returned to my room about 2 hours later wanting to take a quick shower and go to sleep but unfortunately still no towels. Back to the front desk only to be told that they didn't have the key to the laundry but that the towels would be delivered in the morning. I then asked when the manager would be in and was told between 9:30 and 10:00 AM. I waited to do anything in the morning until 10:00 and went to the front desk only to be told that the manager wouldn't be in until 11:00. I could not wait so I left.Upon my return in the early evening I went to my room and still no towels. Another trip to the front desk to complain and the very nice man looked on a sheet and said yes he could that each of my complaints had been logged and that he would personally bring the towels to me within 30 minutes. I asked if the manager had been in and he said yes he had filled in for the previous shift but that he didn't usually work weekends. Finally after 22 hours I received the towels. On Monday morning at check out the manager was on duty and when I said I was unhappy with the service he never apologized and when I said I was going to complain on the internet he told me that was certainly my right. He had been on duty on Saturday and certainly had access to the problem/complaint list and had done nothing to help. I know times have been hard in the hospitality field and finding good workers has been difficult. I never raised my voice at any of the people I dealt with but the attitude of the manager really summed up my stay. Besides the towel fiasco and dirty carpet and sink and no phone there was also no trashcan in the room ( the gentleman who finally brought the towels also brought a trashcan). Also the office chair in the room looked like it had been picked up on the side of the road and the sheets were spotted. I travel quite a bit both nationally and internationally and have stayed in unrated hotels and ones with star ratings from 1 to 5 from under $10.00 per night ( in Asia) to several hundred dollars per night and I have never had such a horrible experience and definitely never experienced a manager who didn't care that a customer had received such poor care.

Great location, the only thing was the smell of the room and at the night the bathroom did a lot of noise

This hotel is located on the side of lajolla cove , but the building facilities are a bit old, the staff's service is not good, the check-in time is 4 pm, but the room is cleaned with few staff, even if it is urged, it will not be completed until 3 o'clock. But the departure time is 11 am. Most importantly, if you are carrying a larger suitcase and are not arranged in a room in the small building below, the distance to mention the suitcase to the room is very long, and 90% are steps, not even ramps. The hotel has several small buildings, the entrance and exit signs are unclear, and the room is in different directions. Take the large suitcase, before arriving at the room, I was very uncomfortable, and the girl collapsed. The suite room is quite big and can be simply cooked. But the facilities are a bit old, the air conditioning system is very noisy, the sound insulation is poor upstairs and downstairs, and the carpet is dirty. Towels, bedding is not bad (this may catch up with the new period) have a small pool, anyway, I have no requirements for public facilities. The price is between 350 and 550 dollars, some are not worth it. Anyway, don't choose a large suitcase. The wheel is on the steps and it is directly bad. There are fewer hotels on Trip.com in this area, but there are actually many small hotels to choose from. It is recommended to check several websites.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Grand Colonial. It is a beautiful cozy hotel and the location was perfect with the beach and many shops and restaurants within walking distance. Everyone was very friendly and the service was excellent. We had a 5th floor ocean view and it was very enjoyable although it was overcast most of the time. The shower was open with only one door and we would have preferred that it was enclosed. The carpet felt a little musty and damp to walk on but they did supply slippers so we did take advantage of those. We did not eat or the restaurant or have a drink at the bar but both looked very nice. The complimentary snacks and drinks are a nice touch. Overall this is a great hotel and because it's La Jolla if you have the means to pay close to $500 a night, the Grand Colonial is a great choice.

The room is relatively large, and the bathroom is relatively modern, with separate wet and dry areas. Compared with many hotels in the United States where you need to stand in a bathtub to take a shower, it is very new. You can see the beautiful bay and ships, but I didn't give you the side facing the aircraft carrier, which is a pity. I ordered a breakfast for 2 people. I asked the front desk and they said that there was a total of 60 dollars for breakfast. You can order anything that does not exceed 60. Every meal and drink, milk, coffee, and orange juice are charged. If you don't want to overspend, you need to take the tip into account and calculate the cost together. It feels a bit troublesome. There is a supermarket downstairs in the hotel. Some snacks are produced in China and have Chinese. The area where the hotel is located is very safe. But there are not many places to eat around. Because I just went to play in the United States and dare not drive, I took a taxi when I went out. I need to walk a distance to eat around. It is not very convenient without a car.
- Guest User
The location is very good, it is relatively new, there are many convenient restaurants around, you can lie on the bed and watch the Midway, it is much more expensive than domestic hotels, but the hotels in the United States are like this, there is no comparison,

Ctrip saw that this hotel had good reviews, so I switched to this hotel from the old city. The hotel is a brand chain, the location, scenery and design are very good. The room is quite large, clean and tidy, and the bed is very comfortable. I chose the sea view room with both sunrise and sunset. It's beautiful. The swimming pool and gym are well designed. They are spacious and comfortable. The bar on the 40th floor has a great view. You can see the city of San Diego at a glance. The only thing is that the basin and bathtub drain covers in the room are old and cannot be closed, and there is a bit of smell. Bonus points are that the seagulls come back to the window and knock on the glass to ask for snacks. They are not afraid to beg for food gracefully and generously. It was a good experience and I will book this hotel again in the future.

This is an old hotel with rich cultural background, all the staff are very friendly, the room service is timely and in place, the bedding and mattress are very comfortable, the breakfast is not to mention, the weekend menu will be replaced with the brunch menu. All the above advantages allow me to tolerate the only disadvantage of zero view from the window. Parking is valet, there is a cvs at the door, and there is a taco that ranks first in the United States within five minutes' walk, which is pretty good, but there is homeless on the roadside
