Reviews From Real Travelers
Aman Tokyo sets a new standard for exceptional hard products. Despite a mishap on our first night when we returned from dinner to find our room uncleaned, the front desk manager promptly apologized and offered complimentary drinks. The head of housekeeping also personally apologized at breakfast and showered us with thoughtful gestures like a fruit platter and free laundry. Subsequently, our stay was faultless. Aman Tokyo also boasts stunning design and architecture and a strategic location near Otemachi station, Tokyo station, the Imperial Palace, and Ginza. Its awe-inspiring atrium leaves a lasting impression. The generously sized rooms, starting at 70 square meters, feature high ceilings throughout, with unforgettable views of the imperial gardens from the bed. Even the retractable TV showcases its thoughtful design, providing guests with an unobstructed view of the Tokyo skyline. The hotel's farewell was equally remarkable. Providing a complimentary hotel car transfer to Tokyo station, while being escorted by another staff member who went the extra mile to purchase our tickets, carry our luggage to the platform, store our luggage on the train and brought us to our seats. Undoubtedly, this luxury at Aman Tokyo comes at a price. However, delivers the sought-after wow factor for which its rates command. After all, Tokyo is one of the most expensive cities in the world. From the grand lobby to the inviting pool and spacious rooms, the hotel impresses on many levels. Managing expectations is, however, key. It would be unrealistic to expect the usual Aman-type of service commonly associated with their other properties whose room counts are a lot smaller. While the initial mishap was regrettable, the subsequent personalized attention and meticulous service surpassed expectations for a city hotel with 80 rooms. Whether this was due to the initial mishap or reflective of their usual standards remains unknown, warranting another stay on my next visit to Tokyo.

Aman Tokyo is definitely amongst the top 3 hotels in Tokyo, if not the best when it comes to the rooms. The lobby is spacious although perhaps too happening if you are used to quieter Aman surroundings (in the past it was for hotel guests only now anyone can access the bar), but the rooms, gym and pool are top notch, with some nice restaurant offerings. You will not be let down in this place.

Recently visited and had a great experience. The location is amazing. The hotel is VERY trendy. There are very cool, well dressed people working in the lobby at all times, and a DJ at night. We liked the opportunity for a scene in the hotel, but it may not be for everyone. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, both before and during our visit. The room was compact but very comfortable, clean, and efficient. We loved having a balcony for some fresh air and additional space. We only ate at the bar, but loved the fries with all the toppings. And the drinks were excellent. We will definitely stay at this little oasis the next time we're in Tokyo.

I have mixed feelings about this place. I really like the vibe and ethos of the hotel. The bar and restaurants are buzzing, and the staff and service are excellent. But the standard room, bathroom and beds are very cool but really small, even for Tokyo, given the price. If you plan on relaxing in your room for any period of time this is probably not the place for you, but good as a city bolt hole in a good location. Be warned that comments about weddings overrunning the hotel are true, it didn’t bother us because we didn’t spend much time at the hotel but it was chaos in the lobby and bar with wedding guests lunch time and early evening on the weekend.

The hotel facilities are good, and the hotel has a free shuttle bus to the Shinagawa subway station, which is very convenient. There are not many commercial shopping nearby, suitable for business trips

Brand hotels live relatively safe, clean and tidy, the rooms are relatively large, although the location is partial, but the hotel has a subway bus connection is also convenient.

Bellustar is such a lovely, beautiful hotel with really friendly and helpful staff. So much space in the rooms with an area to put luggage and clothes. Little perks during your stay such as treats and flowers. Probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in!

Great location although a little seedy if you have young children. Outstanding breakfast. Very clean and nicely decorated rooms. The hotel is very new and feels very upmarket. Great experience overall.

Overall, we had a great stay. One thing really disappointed me was although we informed in advance that during our stay I had my birthday, there was not even a warm message or anything, compare to other hotels gave us nice greeting cards or sweet towel arts normally...

Booked for my boss, the newly completed Tokyo luxury hotel, Canu Tokyo celebrates the city's rich cultural fabric through its appreciation of food, art and design, bringing its vibrant social scene to the Japanese capital while serving as a gateway to its best attractions, just steps from the Roppongi and Toranomon neighborhoods. The hotel has eight floors and 122 rooms and suites, designed by Jean-Michel Gathy of Denniston, with an area of 284 square meters (3057 square feet), floor-to-ceiling windows, private balconies and Asian-style interiors with modern European influences. The spacious space creates a tranquil beauty, in stark contrast to the hustle and bustle of the city.

A very private hotel, newly opened in 2024, leave some mystery for yourself to experience, the bathroom design is very reasonable, the Japanese breakfast is very popular, the water and drinks in the hotel refrigerator are all free, there is a bottle of special water from the UK that will be unforgettable, you will know after drinking it

You know you’ve arrived when you get a whiff of a Le Labo scent! We stayed for 2 nights in a Superior room and then returned for 3 more nights in a Studio room. Hotel staff happily checked some luggage for us since we were returning. The superior room was large and very well laid out. The Studio room was almost double the size and was a corner room with 2 walls of windows. I would describe the decor as understated luxury. Rooms were immaculate. The hotel is in a prime location set back from the main shopping street with views from my room to LV and Cartier. A minute from the stores but a world away in terms of tranquility. The entire staff is amazing. They couldn’t do enough as they grabbed our packages walking in the hotel, offered water to us walking in or out, got the elevator for us and made our dinner reservations prior to arriving. Email responses to our questions prior to arriving was immediate. Amazing that we were greeted by name each day! If you are looking for a boutique hotel in Ginza make reservations before they are all booked. Handy hint- Before you arrive email to get the address of the hotel in Japanese prior to arriving. Save it in your contacts to show to cab drivers!

What an amazing hotel...in a convenient location to explore all of Tokyo. The hotel decor is sleek and luxurious...the team is friendly, welcoming and eager to please. We knew we were in for a treat when we arrived at 10 am after an overnight flight from Bangkok and needed a shower and the front desk informed us that our upgraded suite for our honeymoon would not be available until 6 pm...and without missing a beat told us that they had a courtesy room we could use until that room became available. It is a small, gorgeous hotel. The smallness of the hotel has its distinct advantages because everyone was in synch...the left hand knew what the right hand was doing. The hotel staff had great suggestions for us. The hotel is spotless. The suite we had was spacious and so luxurious. The suite had both a Dyson hair dryer and fan...and two HUGE TV's (although we didn't watch them). We were welcomed to our suite earlier than promised with a bottle of champagne and a Japanese version of a honeymoon cake. We loved our stay and we will be back!!!

The hotel is centrally located and I think that’s basically the sole reason I may consider staying at it again. Checking in was smooth (thanks to the HK colleague seconded from Ritz Carlton HK), and other than that, I think your hotel staff needs re-training, especially the concierge team! Terrible service and clueless! My friends who were also traveling were not as lucky at check-in. One wasn’t able to get his room at 6pm and was asked to wait (20 mins), and when he finally got his key, he went into the room where someone was already in it. Who could expect this kind of mistake happened in a “modern luxury hotel”? My other friend nearly traumatized trying to check-in with a staff who can’t really speak English and don’t understand what “confirmation number” means. To me, the only disappointment was no upgrade at all even I was a Titanium member then. But well, I of course understand it is “subject to availability”. Hotel itself and its location is superb and definitely create a modern luxury feeling. But I’m staying in a HOTEL and HOSPITALITY and SERVICE should be the most important. And Edition Tokyo fails in all aspect, and maybe this is how you want to create a “lasting memory”? The short lady at the concierge was rude and impolite. When I was trying to ask about the timetable of the airport bus and where the stop is, she simply said why don’t you check it online cos you need to use your credit card and book anyway! I cannot believe this kind of service in Japan, let alone at a 5-star Marriot managed hotel. In the end I let my friend to handle it and she told me she talked to 3 different concierge colleagues and each gave a different answer, in the end it had to escalate up to the duty manager to get a concrete response on how to take the airport bus to Narita. Crazy! Then on separate occasions we went to the lobby bar. We requested to sit by the window and the waiter there said “it is reserved” on every occasion. In the end of course the sofa by the window was empty (and on one occasion it was empty till the bar was closed). I got annoyed and asked for the restaurant manager and I said “if you need a minimum spending just say so, why you have to put us at the bar table?” She said she would look into it and of course no one has yet to give us a good reason why is it the case. And service at the bar was appalling and to a certain extent I would even use “racist” to put it. As a Titanium with Marriot Bonvoy and a Globalist with World of Hyatt, I must say I made a terrible mistake staying at Tokyo Edition. I am sure I would receive better treatment and a better holiday experience if I stay at Andaz Tokyo which is across the street!

We are so happy to have spent our vacation at the Tokyo EDITION. We had an impeccable experience. The hotel is the latest in design and amenities, our elegant suite overlooked Tokyo Tower and had every convenience, and the staff endeavored to make our stay all that it could be and more. All staff was a pleasure to interact with and their recommendations achieved perfection. It is an experience we will never forget. The hotel is well situated right next to Tokyo Metro and centrally located so that most of the city can be accessed by short taxi ride. Their restaurant The Blue Room is an excellent choice for any meal and their swanky bar The Gold Bar is a must that rivals any high end cocktail experience. Special shoutout to the GM Anshul and Concierge Ai. They couldn't have done more to ensure we had the best of what Japan has to offer both inside and outside of our hotel experience. My wife and I can't wait to recommend to friends and return as soon as possible.

A well-deserved ”luxury” hotel. You can enjoy the night view of Tokyo while lying on the bed in the room. The executive lounge is also very high-end. Thanks to Charlie, the waiter from Taiwan, who provided Chinese service throughout the whole process. The cocktails he made were great.

We did not take breakfast because it was extremely expensive. The location is very good. The new Otani also has an old part, our room was dated and big but it was disappointing because we expected the best. The pool is 7000 yen pp. per visit.

The hotel is magnificent, with the luxury of the last century. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. After staying, you will feel the attentive service everywhere. Problems are dealing quickly and efficiently. If you sit near the window in the restaurant on the 17th floor, you can enjoy the view of Hibiya Park and the garden of Imperial Palace. Ginza is also within easy walking distance and Takarazuka Theatre is nearby. When you need a taxi, there is always one waiting to serve you. The location was great for families with kids, lots of activities and attractions near by. Breakfast was good and friendly service. However, a bit hard to find family-friendly restaurants near by at night, they're mostly 18+ bars. Bedroom was very nice, however the bathrooms are a bit dated and needs and upgrade to match the rest of the room. The hotel had a pool but charged a ridiculous amount per person just to use it, I'm a frequent traveller, but this is the first time I've ever experienced being charged to use the pool, so that was a let down. Overall decent stay though.
