Magical place, so peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Spotless! I visited after losing my husband and I was really worried about being on my own, I needn't have been. Its a very safe and secure place. My only niggle was leaving my brand new expensive slippers and after calling when I got home and realised i had left them. I was told nothing had been handed into the office. The cleaners who had cleaned after my visit obviously got themselves a gift! It would not stop me from highly recommending this idyllic little retreat. Staff in the main building were very friendly, welcoming and warming.

This is our favourite come back to’ place in the UK. Never tire of the beauty of the area or the quality of the accommodation. Top notch in all respects. Whether you want a tranquil experience or the opportunity for an active time in the Lakes - this is the place to be.

The apartment and surroundings are lovely. this was a short break booked for my parents who are in their late 80s. they had daily problems with the heating and engineer came had to come out eveyday. Whatever time the engineer set it too the following day it didnt work and the heating was coming on at all peculiar times.the things that I most angry at is the total lack of sympathy shown by the Manager Richard, he as absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever. Tried to blame my parents, several times when I spoke to him on the phone. He was rude, off hand and obvioualy does not go by the saying the 'customer is always right'. I also found out that he had been offhand/rude when he was on the phone to my Mum and one of his engineers, who was in the apartment at the time of the telephone call, actually said to my Mum, 'yes he is, thats my boss'. I cannot get over how horrible he was too me on the phone and had not a shred of decency or sympathy. so the paprtment was lovely apart from the problem with the heating but I wouldnt go back because of how ignorant the Manager was.

Absoloutely fantastic place to stay while visiting the lakes , spotless , and had everything we needed staff were great from booking in online right through the stay, lovely location next to the river. will definitely return later this year.

My happy place. The lodges are on the river with incredible views. Lodges have everything you could possibly need- it's our home from home. Super comfy beds and well decorated. Staff are always so happy to help even when I turned up on the wrong date
