Whilst the Redwood Grove and Wildlife provide an amazing setting it is completely ruined by noisy groups playing radios at all hours - they might as well have stayed in town. Additionally you have to use tokens for the showers which dribble luke warm water with just a loose shower curtain for privacy. Great for exhibitionists and those who enjoy wild camping but not on brand for Hyatt. Left after one night and went to Saddle Mountain Ranch which was so much better.

Campsite 51! Trust me, the best experience you can have camping. It was amazing waking up to the sound of birds and lots of shade with tall trees. There was not many bugs and I felt safe leaving all my stuff to explore Big Sur. The bathrooms were clean and there are showers too and that are very well maintained.

Way too expensive for a campground. You have to park next to multiple vehicles, felt like no private space. You have to pay for showers when spending 100+ on campground fee. Check in was easy and if you arrive after 8pm they send you the code to the gate.

Fantastic location and definitely off the beaten path. But the campsites make you feel very secluded in the woods and absolutely love the ambience of camping in amongst the redwood trees. I will for sure be coming back here again. Might have to try out the glamping experience next time.

I absolutely love Ventana camping. We’ve camped here many times over the years. It’s a beautiful well kept property, the staff is so friendly, and the scenery is absolutely beautiful. It’s located close to lots of main Big Sur attractions and little restaurants and cafes. The only complaint I have is that the campsite layout has been changed and the spaces are smaller than they used to be. This caused a feeling of being overcrowded. The bathrooms are really far away from some sites and were really busy.
