For a 5 star hotel, it doesn’t seem like it is and definitely not worth the price. -Poor amenities (Example, they offer a small thin bar of soap as a body wash. Why wouldn’t they offer liquid body wash? Also, some towels were overused) -They clean the rooms/bathrooms and change your towels after 3 days instead of everyday. There’s no pandemic anymore so why not clean the rooms everyday?! -Good food, but not enough choices for breakfast (Why wouldn’t pancakes be included in the options? Also, the coffee doesn’t taste good - strong and burnt tasting) -Nice staff, but they need more training: >Food Service is slow and inefficient. During breakfast and lunch, our food were served after hours of waiting. Some of our orders came incorrectly (not what we ordered). >Disorganize and lack in system. >They lack in staff both at the front desk and Sans rival Cafe. -They will charge you if you don’t return all your keycards. If this was a true 5 star hotel, you wouldn’t charge your guests for something cheap and disposable. Overall, our stay was ok (big rooms and nice pool), but lacking in amenities and training of staff. There are more cons than pros. Whoever owns this hotel seems like they are saving too much on costs. Never going to stay in any of the Henry Hotels in the Philippines.From$75

|2.09km from city centerThe hotel is furnished! Very warm, the front desk staff is super nice! Help call the dive shop, there is no extra charge for check-out time! Say I don't need to pay other expenses, of course ~ some tips were given later! The room was cleaned very well. Although I know I live alone, I will give 2 bath towels to the airport free of charge every day! !! I also printed my name for signboard! !! It's really good. If you go to Dumaguete, you should go here! There is a large supermarket opposite the hotel and a restaurant next to it. It is very convenient to eat and take a taxi. It is only 6 minutes away from the airport and is very convenient.

|2.94km from city centerThis hotel is located near the Dumaguete airport and is decorated with many artworks. Unlike hotels in the city, it's generally quiet, but there are live performances in the hotel restaurant, so you can hear music until quite late, so it might be suitable for families with children of elementary school age or older. The customer service is friendly and the restaurant has high chairs, so if you understand that, you won't have any problems bringing young children with you. Also, you can flush toilet paper down the toilet, which is rare in the Philippines.
Although we weren't in the city, leaving food in your room attracts a lot of ants, so we recommend hanging your luggage on hangers or floating in the air instead of leaving it on a table.

|0.84km from city centerConvenient transportation, just three or five minutes away is the bus terminal. Downstairs is 711 with Robinson nearby. We did not say so noisy at night when we slept, probably because the whole was very noisy. Then we must be careful not to bring back the leftovers. The smoothie milk we bought was broken for one night, and the burger we bought was put in for one night and ants crawled in, very small ants.

|2.1km from city centerNot too sure what to expect, even though the reviews were all positive. As others ha e mentioned, common areas and rooms are all furnished in quality mainly antique furniture, collected by the owner on his travels. The rooms have very comfortable beds, hot water for the shower and polite and attentive staff. We booked 3 rooms for our family and all were of a good quality, far better than others we have stayed in that cost far more. When we are in the area again we will definitely stay again.

|2.28km from city centerDuring the Spring Festival, I came to Duma Gai to travel. The hotel is scheduled to be mentioned by the Raiders. It is said to be a Chinese boss. It is convenient for communication. Maybe the boss returned to China for the Spring Festival and did not see it. But no effect, simple English communication is no problem. In the Dumaguete area, the facilities of this hotel are very good, I booked a family room, service attitude, breakfast buffet can be delivered, travel can not ask too much, clean, taste basic It’s good to have a good time. It is about 1.5km away from the city center. It is quite convenient. It is quite noisy to live in the city. It is relatively quiet. The house on the side of the road I live in will not feel noisy. Recommended hotel.

|0.05km from city centerThe room was better than I expected, how they set up the interior was really clever, I love how they’ve setup a multi-purpose table that can be useful for anything — eating, working, storage of some of my important belongings. The lamp was really nice, too. It actually looked pretty classy. And the bed is what I have hoped for, especially after a really hectic day. The life-size mirror was a plus.
I loved how they had breakfast served in plates but it came up with a complimentary buffet-style variety of drinks and some bread and jam. The marmalade and berry jam were really delicious.
The staff were really helpful and nice. They even recommended places to check out.
The place is across the wet market and beside the building is a pharmacy/convenience store.

|1.7km from city centerLOVE this hotel! #1 they didn’t cut corners building it or outfitting it and it just feels great when you get to your hotel and everything works (has not been the case with so many of the places we’ve stayed around the country) #2 there are thoughtful extra touches that I adored (reed diffuser in rooms, purse stools in deli, good sound system and music, Netflix on TV), #3 staff was very professional, approachable and helpful. #4 the pool is glorious and every time I went down to swim I had it to myself #5 the hidden restaurant, cafe and bar behind the hotel was one of my favorite spots to chill in the City. Stayed here a week. Found it very relaxing for its proximity to city. Highly recommend.

|3.08km from city centerVery nice hotel, the rooms are clean, you can cook by yourself, the public spaces of the hotel are very large, with TV and stereo. The Chinese bosses are very enthusiastic and have provided us with a lot of help. It is very close to the airport terminal, and there is a free pick-up and drop-off. The little cat in the hotel mixed with us very well and stayed in our house for a few days. Recommend to everyone.

|0.38km from city centerDumaguete Dormitel is located just 5 minutes walk from the downtown area, surrounded by restaurants, bars, markets and supermarkets make this accommodation an ideal place to stay**** on your visit to the island. They offer two types of accommodation: shared rooms or double rooms. In our case we chose the double and it was phenomenal. A fairly spacious room made up of two large single beds, a desk with a chair, a table, a bench, a mirror, a wardrobe, a television, a fridge and air conditioning. The bathroom, private, made up of a toilet, sink and shower, all separated by screens, which is appreciated for not having everything wet all the time, hahaha. In our room we also had a private terrace with a clothes rack, ideal for hanging your wet clothes if you want to do your laundry. The room also included towels, toilet paper and a welcome kit with toothbrush, toothpaste and soap. In addition to the rooms, they have common areas (on each floor and in reception) with sofas and tables where you can rest, work or share experiences with other travellers. Despite having many rooms and being close to the road, it is very quiet and not noisy at all. People were respectful at all times and we never heard one voice louder than another. The Internet connection works well, which made it much easier for us to be able to work during the days we were there, something that is sometimes quite complicated in the Philippines. They also have a water machine (for a fee) and a laundry service. There are always staff at reception to help you with whatever you need, as well as a guard at the door at night. The room met our expectations, as I have already said the location is ideal, so I would recommend Dumaguete Dormitel without any hesitation.

|0.24km from city centerI love this hotel. i have stayed here now many many times, and i have NEVER had a bad experience, so i thought i would finally write a DESERVED GOOD review. The Hotel is placed right at the heart of Dumaguete, everything you would want is with a few mins of the hotel, the hotel also provides trips to some of the popular tourist attractions. The rooms are always clean and fresh with daily room service, but in my opinion the only thing that lets the rooms down are the showers which sadly could do with more maintenance as often they are faulty in some way and poorly kept looking, but they still provide good supply of hot water. I have stayed in all of the rooms they offer, from their suite to the standard rooms, and all show the same levels of cleanliness and the rooms always feel welcoming. Free breakfast is provided and the restaurant is good and the food well cooked and presented , the hotel provides a full range of pampering service if you require some self indulgence. The staff are ALWAYS friendly polite professional and on hand for any reason and will always make you feel important and a valued guest. I have in all my stays at this Hotel had only ever had one problem which was dealt with professionally, immediately and satisfactorily,. This hotel is ALWAYS my first choice when i visit Dumaguete, and will continue to be so They have plenty of rooms and even as a walk in, i have never been turned away from being fully booked, Its always a pleasure staying here.... See you next time !

Dommage ...

|1.93km from city centerWe (1 x Australian male & 1 x Filipina) stayed for one week in a Family Apartment. We chose Villa Prescilla as we wanted to be able to self-cater and cook our own meals. The hotel is a short drive from both the airport (via taxi) and the centre of Dumaguete (trike). Getting transport via a trike is easy, plus the trikes here are much bigger than in Manila or Angeles and the prices were reasonable: but it does help if you have a Filipina with you to ensure you are not being taken advantage of (but I still gave tips to drivers). Location is away from the hustle & bustle of Dumaguete, but the road is still very busy and noise from traffic can be a bit of a problem, but main bedroom is at the rear of the building and we kept the doors shut. To avoid being awakened too early by neighbouring roosters or barking dogs, I recommend having the fan on for white noise. The hotel is a bit old and showing its age, but it is still clean, pleasant and had everything we needed, plus the caretaker/s were very helpful and friendly. My only gripe would be in relation to the Wi-Fi signal which at times was non-existent (welcome to the Philippines...lol). In the times we live, Wi-Fi has become a necessity and I was relying on being able to use my laptop, so it was of great importance to me to be able to access the internet when I wanted / needed. Fortunately, each time I really needed to access the internet the caretakers would come to the apartment and were able to get a signal for me through trial and error, plus a lot of persistence and sometimes calling upon the available IT guru (caretakers’ teenage son). My Filipina was very happy with the kitchen facilities and was able to whip up some great meals. Caretakers were also able to arrange a private car with driver for us (day trip to Bindoy) and a taxi for the journey to the airport for our departure.

|0.55km from city centerThe hotel is just across Binhai Avenue, and there is a lot of food around, very convenient! However, we just happened to be renovating upstairs when we checked in, and there was a constant noise during the day, because we stayed for one day, so it was just a short while away. By the way, the sound insulation of the room is not very good

|1.14km from city centerThe place is perfect for those traveling with a tight budget. As for me, we were wanting to explore the city and the neighboring nature destinations - so it didn't make sense to check in an expensive hotel as we didn't plan to lounge in the hotel. The room rates are budget friendly - the beds and the AC was okay. Room had a tv with cable, but wifi was not working most of the time, but its okay because Mobile data was strong enough as the hostel is within the city. The only issue I have was with the bathroom. It was nice, had a sink, a hot/cold shower and a large toilet. However, the bathroom had a divider on the floor separating the shower and toilet - but the toilet part of the room had no floor drain. So tendency is, if you spill or splash water to the toilet part of the bathroom, it will stay on the floor and would flood the other half. But all in all, the stay was great.

|0.26km from city centerBeing new, the rooms are small, but neat and clean. They are very colourful, as you can see from the photos. There's a rooftop pool, possibly the smallest hotel pool ever, yet quite deep. Good for cooling off and for its views of the city. If there are sufficient guests, breakfast may be a buffet on the top floor, which is quite good. Otherwise, you only get to order a meal and one drink from the cafe next to reception. As is often the case in the Philippines, the choice is extremely limited in that case. It's hard to rate the hotel's value, when these are two vastly different situations. You can have 4 or 5 or more glasses of juice at the breakfast buffet, or only 1 if that's not operating. I'll be generous and rate it very good, but that assumes they supply the decent breakfast. If you get stuck with the cafe breakfast, I'd downgrade it to average.
