I chose the upper floor, but it was inconvenient to get in and out, and I couldn't even buy luggage space in the room. It seemed that the bed covers, quilt covers and towels had not been changed and were still being used by the next person. I also found a lot of curly hair. . . . I felt so bad this time. The shower room and toilet are in the same room and are shared. The toilet is also wet, so be careful. The overall feeling is not good, I will not stay again

Where to start. The hostel is close to a several of exits for Chinatown MRT station. Cheap eats are everywhere in Chinatown so you will be spoilt for choice. Check out the money changers at People's Park for good exchange rates if you have cash. The junction of South Bridge Road and Upper Cross Street is within walking distance of Marina Bay, Gardens by the Bay, the Barrage, the CBD, Bugis, City Hall. There is a self service laundrette down the street which includes detergent, and is fairly cheap for a wash and tumble dry load. And if you hanker for fresh fruit, check out the produce market in the Hong Lim Complex. The nitty gritty: the hostel is cheap, but no palace. Whilst the room and corridor floors are washed everyday, the same cannot be said of the showers and toilets - the grime and mould on the walls is beyond belief; good luck anyone who doesn't wear something on their feet when using the facilities. Rooms are airless and musty, having no ventilation even if they have windows which are sealed, and have a sweaty atmosphere of their own. AirCon only lowers the temperature of the rooms, and does nothing to circulate fresh air. Mattresses have seen better days and dip in the middle where countless bodies have slept on them over time. The same can be said of the pillows. The website photos paint the hostel in a deceptively clean and bright light, unfortunately the view from the open air eating area now looks onto a very large building sight, which even by SG standards must have been underway for at least 12 to 18 months. I guess you get what you pay for, but having travels to SG for decades, this hostel was reminiscent of Bencoolen Street in its heyday. The only saving grace is likely to be the people you meet whilst staying there.

Im a local absolutely love this place. U be surprise even with the bars below it be noisy. Well is it isn’t that bad. I slept like a log. Room was not stuffy at all. U can open the windows. Showers were very new even the water heater . Zero noise from other rooms. The bed thought firm. The ample big bed omg!! Made my sleep even better. The table is a good size. Lighting to do work was great. Aircon was in good condition. Toilet was super clean. They provide toiletries except for comb. Room was super clean. U need to download Goki app, this a contactless self check in property. Once downloaded u be able to receive a code with room number to unlock the automated door look of ur room. I attached a pic of my view from my room. U know ur smack in the middle of the Boat Quay district which is very convenient for foreigner and locals. 7 eleven was just opposite, anyways along the rood towards the bridge u see some eateries and cafe. So no issue with food needs. Finding this place u need to find the unit 49 circular road and go up the stairs on the right side to level 3.

The location is good, near Chinatown Food Street. It seems to be in a public housing, and the environment outside is not very good. This family has two houses, but the houses are relatively small. Each house is equipped with a shared bathroom and toilet. You may need to queue during peak hours. The bed at least has a curtain, but it's only half a curtain... it can't cover the whole thing... I put on my makeup and ran to the tea room... The place was too small, and I was afraid of disturbing other people's rest... The proprietress is Chinese, speaks Chinese and English, speaks quickly, and has a good attitude.

Facilities: Overall, it is relatively clean and tidy, but those who live on the upper bunks should be careful ⚠️ The stairs are easy to bump. Hygiene: I am a clean freak, and the bathroom is relatively clean, except that sometimes there is some water on the floor, but it dries quickly and is tolerable. But it is recommended to put a mop so that even if there is water, guests can mop it themselves, otherwise it is easy to slip. Environment: The bar is quite noisy, and it will be silent around 2 o'clock in the morning, and the bar was not open on the third day of my stay. Service: So it is. There is nothing bad, and nothing outstanding. No merits or demerits. Others: It is very close to Clarke Quay and Chinatown, and it is also very close to the Merlion. It can be reached in more than 20 minutes on foot, which is not bad. There are also McDonald's and Burger King nearby, as well as 711, which is very convenient.

I stayed here in early December 2022 for a few nights. In general, this hostel is very conveniently located. It is only 4-minute walk from the Downtown Line MRT station. It is the same station that has the closest ATMs. The hostel requires you to pay your balance using cash. If you want to pay by card, there is an additional 3% charge and you'd have to walk to their sister hostel to use their card machine. The sister site is on another street but they claim it's just a 5-minute walk. Also, if you want to print anything or use a microwave, you'd have to walk across the street to the Chic Hostel to do so since this one doesn't have it. There is a fridge but no microwave. The good thing is that they do your laundry, within the same day if you tell them to, for $12. The dorms on the 4th floor did not have a lock on the door so it didn't feel secure from anyone else who may decide to wonder up there. They did have a key card for the individual lockers though. There's only one outlet by your bed so I'd recommend getting an adapter with multiple USB ports or something. The 4th and 3rd floors share a 2-stall shower and toilet combo which was a tight squeeze and a bit moldy, which probably cannot be helped with such humid climates. Only bodywash was available in the showers. Each toilet come with its own handheld bidet. I just wished that the restrooms had paper towels to dry your hands. I did like that each bed had its own TV with Netflix and headphones (even though I never used it). The A/C runs all night which is great. I also liked that eac bed has their owne privacy curtains as well as their own drying rack and clothes hangers.

Despite some people that we meet on the street was not really nice, but the ladies who in charge in the hotel were different things. Both of them are having smiley faces and willing to provide you with any information, especially ms.ayu who didn't mind to be bothered in the late evening after her working hours and have to help us with the password on the enterance door which we totaly forget. For the budget tourist, this is very recomended hostel, it was clean, walkong distance to public transportation and located in the china street you would never starving and broke 😄😄

Officially my favorite hotel in Singapore. It’s new, feels very different from other places, located as close as possible to the business district and all the city attractions. Highly recommended! 🤌🏼

Great location. That’s the only good thing I can say about this hostel. AC is only on from 9pm to 9am and it’s insanely hot and humid all day, I woke up by 9:15 because I was sweating. There are extra fees for checking in after 8PM. I was charged the “late” check in rate but was apparently not charged an extra tax when checking in, so the worker approached me at my bed at 9am the next morning telling me I had to pay. I was incredibly uncomfortable with being approached this way. The wifi doesn’t work in the room, at least it didn’t on my bunk, it was connected with 1-2 bars and nothing was loading. I get that it’s a budget hostel, I’ve stayed at many, but this one was particularly awful. There are other hostels in Singapore at the same price point and without the extra fees, I would try those.

Please read - IMPORTANT about Campbell Inn: My 3 tourist friends from overseas have encountered potential scamming of tourists at this Campbell Inn. They have lodged a police report and contact Singapore Tourism Board and CASE in regards to this case. Hope by doing so, it will prevent the owner of Campbell Inn from cheating other tourists and disgracing Singapore as a safe country again. My 3 friends were ignorant of the various Google negative reviews of Campbell Inn and booked two nights with the Inn. However it seems that they have been scammed. It was their first visit to Singapore and she emailed and they tried to call the Inn several times without getting a proper response from the Inn. They wanted to inform the Inn about the late timing that they would be reaching the Inn. However as the Inn was uncontactable for a proper response, the 3 tourists decided to check-in physically at the premises. The Inn was obviously unsafe as it was occupied by alot of migrant workers in the premises and look more like a illegal foreign worker dormitory. The 3 tourists were initially informed by the receptionist that their room were given to other workers and were even asked to stay together with the male workers in the same room. They realized that these workers were wearing scantily (only sarongs) in the room and some of them appears to be drunk. The 3 tourists refused and left the Inn immediately feeling the whole situation was not right and unsafe. However they were left stranded on the streets in the middle of the night. My friends credit card was deducted for the nights which they did not stay in the Inn. They believed that the Inn management have planned this scam in such a manner that they can easily cheat the tourists who did not know the actual ground situation of the Inn. Also suspect several of these workers may be overstayers without legal work permits as they seems to be staying there for a long time. The Inn is definitely not a safe place for tourists to stay in. The practice of this Inn not only causes distress to the overseas visitors but also shame us Singaporeans which our country projected a very safe reputation to visitors from all over the world. The matter has been reported to relevant Singapore authorities.

We were told originally we would pay on arrival, we got an invoice around 3 days before we arrived to say we’d paid but had a free upgrade to a 6 bed (there were only 4 of us) with a private bathroom. We didn’t realise they were taking the money prior to our arrival however this wasn’t a massive issue but would have been nice to be aware! Staff were lovely, we didn’t actually have a private bathroom but again it was alright for the price we paid. Beds were kind of comfy, some more than others (the doubles), the singles felt a bit like a lilo and very plasticky! Rooms were very tight to get through but again, not horrendous! It’s quite a noisy building, however the location is brilliant! Centre of little India and close to a few DT MRTS (rocher, bugis, little India) - and the food around it is lush! - but for backpackers I wouldn’t say it’s the most social, I’m unsure about the other 7 wonders around Singapore but this one was very quiet in the respect of meeting others!

The area is hidden in housing estate around tourist spot like chinatown and also towards east west side of singapore. They provide such a clean and huge water pressure not to mention which makes a plus tick for foreigner who is worried of water hygience. After my check out the staff also greeted me with super nice attitude and easy going personality. SOMEBODY CALL THE HEALTH INSPECTOR AND SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN. Antlantis@531 was like a portal. First you're in a beautiful clean city then you're in a garbage dump. Worst hostel I have ever been to in my life. I didn't even stay the night and went to another hostel. No refund. They put me in a room that had MOLD all over the beds and sheets. It had a terrible smell of chemicals coming through the aircon. It smells like they were trying to kill mould in the aircon ducts with toxic chemicals. I knew instantly I would get a migraine if I breathed it in too long and I ignored my intuition. An hour in that room I got a migraine. The service was terrible. They gasped at me like I had said a dirty word when I asked for a refund explaining that they so-called had someone live there for 2 and a half years who never complained about the smell or got headaches. Made the poor hygiene of the place my fault and let me choose between 2 other rooms not much better than the first. There is NO kitchen AND NO communal area aside from the reception. There is also no locks to any of the rooms meaning anyone can walk in and take your things from the street or other room. I believe ALL hostels need a communal are and a kitchen to even call themselves a hostel. Backpackers are here to meet other backpackers. Save your money, safety and your health! Don't go here!

They have many bed bugs, and of course you can't know in advance. Please don't risk to get bitten all over your body. They ruined my holiday. I booked and payed in advance for 6 nights, left after the second, stil working on trying to get back my money. Coacroaches in the bathroom. Staff is only one very rude person who does not speak an English which you can understand. I saw few conflict situation during my stay, other guest could not understand as well. If the hot water kanne is gone, he says I don't know. If you ask anything he don't care. The place is incredibly dirty, smells on pi. Many workers not many tourists. Reception is random, when receptionist is there time to time. Breakfast is nothing, no place to sit, if finished no refill. Please go to a clean and nice place instead of this and save your self what I went through.

Nice Hostel near the center, it was easy to access, The staff is lovely and helpful they arrange for me a late Check in (3am) with useful instruction. Clean inside, I didn't face the time to try the rooftop :( The breakfast is ok (just few stuff to avoir leaving with nothing in the belly). Great value for a short and cheap stay in Singapore.

The hotel is the second time to stay, the boss will speak Chinese, can help to call a taxi, the hotel is in a good location, in the small Indian scenic area, close to the Arab Street, there are convenience stores and many food stores nearby, not far from the subway station Will consider staying again.

A very nice, quiet place located in the heart of Chinatown, with the MRT right at its door steps making travelling accessible and splendid. The rooms are perfect for budget travellers, very clean. The bathroom is quite small but always clean. There's even a little outdoor patio however it's quite hot outside. It's a go to spot for budget travellers.

The box is on the first floor and the room is on the fifth floor. There is no elevator. Normally like a dormitory The boss won't speak Chinese but it is very warm. This price is cheap in Singapore Walk for a few minutes with a subway station near Little India We stayed for one night. If it is a long stay, mind the hotel. After all, it’s very small.

We stayed for 2 nights here but wish we had made it just the one. Everything was nice enough, the showers were warm but there was no ventilation in there so I felt sweaty again as soon as I was done showering and trying to dry off. Beds I found very uncomfortable but my partner said they were ok. We stayed in a double pod and it was just a glorified bunk bed with a little more privacy. The door to the pod didnt lock and there were buttons for things like TV but they were non existent. There was a locker but not big enough to fit travelling rucksacks. Could have done with a few more hooks, 4 hooks for a room that could house 6 people wasnt enough. Air con was good in the room though. Breakfast was self service, bread and spreads for toast, and little egg fryers and juice not much else.  Staff helped us with purchasing discounted tickets for attractions we wanted to see - Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay Skydeck and Adventure Cove waterpark.  Location wise was its downfall for us. It's near Boon keng MRT line which meant we had a good hour or so trip to get places. We eventually moved to a hostel closer and cheaper near Chinatown which was the same space pod style.

In the past, there were lodgings around 900 yen here and there, but as of November 2022, this place was in the cheap category (around 2000 yen). The customer base is migrant workers, Southeast Asian customers seeking cheap prices, and European and American customers. A cash deposit of $20 is required for the key. Since the reception time is short, please let us know in advance if you are late for check-in. The most important thing to note about this inn is that many of the guests do not have a culture of using paper in the toilet, so the hose cleaning will always flood the toilet. Be sure to bring sandals. There was no problem sleeping in the room. The sheets were darkened, but they weren't bleached and seemed to be washed properly, so there's no problem. The air conditioner hits directly when it comes to the upper bed. Bring warm clothes if necessary. An eye mask is required for the upper row. Prepare earplugs if necessary.

Although it is expensive for just a single pod (but actually already the cheapest that I can find in SG), I am very satisfied with my short stay here. The location is accessible, the service is good, and facilities are nice, especially the free coffee and tea in the kitchen. It is also clean. If I visit SG again, I will choose to stay here. Thanks for accommodating me! ^_^
