Amboseli Villas

We did a drive safari after attending a family event in Nairobi. I stayed at this lodge many years ago with a good friend and found it wonderful. This time I was with my wife who uses a wheelchair and walker. Since my last visit 14 years ago, there are now ramps that allow access to everything. In addition, there are a number of wheelchair access rooms. Our room was everything we (she) needed. The overall lodge is beautiful and very well maintained. There are 3 meals a da plus high tea. The food was not as good as I remember from the earlier trip, but it was still pretty good. The bar prices were reasonable and there is a good selection. The big attraction is that you can sit on the porch of your room or in the dining area and watch elephants, zebra, wildebeest, etc. just on the other side of the fence, 20 metres away. All with Mt. Kilimanjaro in the background. Overall, the experience was magical.

Situated in Amboseli National Park, Kilima offers spacious accommodation with views of the animal water pools and the Mount Kilimanjaro. Guided game drives and bush walks are offered at an additional charge. The tents and lodges at Kilima Safari Camp include a 4-poster bed with a mosquito net. All rooms have a seating area and a private bathroom. Some include a claw-foot tub. Guests can unwind with a selection of massage treatments available upon request or enjoy a refreshing swim and relax on the poolside lounger. Activities on offer include a nature walk or a free lecture about Maasaj culture. In the evening, Maasaj dancers perform. Buffet and à la carte dishes are served at the camp’s restaurant. Bush dinners, including a night game drive and a barbecue dinner in the Amboseli plains, are also available.

I stayed here in July for the first two nights of my Safari adventures and what a start! As soon as my jeep arrived at the front door, I was met with such a warm, friendly welcome, a towel to freshen up & a lovely cold drink. Very easy check in & then shown to my room with all the lodge’s amenities & meal times explained en route. My room was perhaps the furthest from Reception & that really didn’t matter as I strolled through lovely planted gardens & palm trees, occupied by lots of monkeys! My room was on the ground floor with views of the waterhole & I could just step off my terrace on to the garden in front. The room is well appointed with everything you’ll need & very comfy bed. A nice surprise was the turndown each evening. On my first visit to the restaurant I was impressed with being given a lovely table to the side of the open air veranda which as a solo traveler, meant a great deal so I wasn’t overwhelmed & overlooked by other parties & I could actually enjoy a great view of the garden & all the restaurant’s activities. I was given the same table for all my meals & was served by a lovely young lady for them all. The buffet offerings at all meals were very well presented & very tasty. Amboseli, by comparison, is a smaller park yet still huge but means the concentration of animals are spread out over shorter distances but still incredibly abundant so you won’t be disappointed. A wonderful stay & would definitely recommend here. Thanks to all the Team for making my stay so memorable.

The reservation is successful, the payment is made, and when I arrive at the front desk, I say that there is no such order, and Ctrip's check-in list also says no. Do you think I can't afford it? Front desk service is too unprofessional

From the time we step out of our car, we were warmly welcomed by Geoffrey. It was my daughters birthday and I arranged with the lodge a package to celebrate her. They made the day so special for her with her room decorated with flowers, song and dance in the evening with a birthday cake - it was an unforgettable day! The rooms where charming and clean. We were very much taken care of for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Lovely swimming pool and massage facilities. I am so grateful to all that made me and my family feel welcomed and cared for.
