We are thrilled to announce the trailer for a documentary from Dimension11 Games' partnership with Microsoft Xbox as part of the Game Maker's Journey Series! This series highlights the behind-the-scenes development process of our upcoming game, "Legends of Orisha: Blood and Water". Our journey, which began almost four years ago, has been filled with excitement, unique challenges, creative problem-solving, invaluable opportunities, and countless lessons. We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Microsoft Xbox team for shining a spotlight on our development process and for their unwavering support throughout this journey. This documentary is a testament to what a small, passionate team can accomplish when given the right conditions. It also reflects Microsoft Xbox's commitment to amplifying the voices of game developers from underrepresented regions, showcasing fresh perspectives in the global games industry. To all our future players and fans around the world, thank you for sticking with us. This milestone belongs to all of us as we look forward to new updates on the development of Legends of Orisha: Blood and Water. A special thank you to Temi Afolabi, Hilary Smith, and the Microsoft Xbox team for working tirelessly with us to spotlight our journey and showcase our process. What an epic first week of December! From AFRICA GAMES WEEK (2nd - 5th Dec) with its VIP bus tour, delegate meetings, and taking part in inspiring talks like "Mastering Creative Leadership" and the panel discussion "Are We Good Enough?". To our Pressure Cooker Studios x Playtopia Festival Walking Tour (5th Dec), where we welcomed delegates, speakers, and friends of Playtopia into our sacred space before taking them on a facilitated city walk. Playtopia officially kicked off on the 6th Dec, where we facilitated coffee chats and James hosted an inspiring panel, "From Concept to Console: The Art of Music and Sound Design in Gaming." Finally, the Pressure Cookies let loose on Saturday, 7th Dec, diving into indie games and immersing ourselves in the magical world of gaming. This week wasn’t just about celebrating games - it was about the amazing people we’ve connected with along the way. We’ve been inspired by the creativity and passion of this incredible community. #AfricaGamesWeek #Playtopia #GamingLife #PressureCookerStudios

I went to a very professional event and did important business things, look at my colouring #africagamesweek #agw Last week the #SheGotGame delegate for 2024 went to Africa Games Week and #Playtopia with the support of Pro Helvetia 🎮 We played games and did some colouring in, but we also had some really great lessons and talks. There are so many cool things happening and coming up, but there are obviously still a lot of gaps to be filled (one of them seems to be #marketing - a lot of people are working on great things but don't know where to find their audience. It's something I really want to explore, so I'm around if you want to chat about it☀️) I had to just post something to show my gratitude for this program, getting to learn from the games industry pros at these events, and getting to meet these women in person for the first time Viviane Christen Arielle Kling Avuzwa Ntshongwana Sithe Ncube Aderinsola Ajao Yasemin Günay Ladina Taxer
