This team of visionary young scientists is pioneering a groundbreaking initiative that will redefine the ethical landscape of health research in Africa. Key Accomplishment of the AIMS HREC ad-hoc team: ·        Conducted extensive due diligence to lay a strong foundation for the HREC. ·        Collaborated closely with the National Health Research Ethics Council (NHREC) to ensure alignment with regulatory standards. ·        Developed comprehensive draft policies and guidelines to uphold the highest ethical standards in research. ·        Compiled essential regulatory documents, meticulously addressing every detail to guarantee the smooth functioning of the HREC. Their dedication, expertise, and collaborative spirit reflect a profound commitment to fostering ethical research practices. The establishment of the AIMS HREC is a testament to the power of young African scientists to lead transformative initiatives that safeguard the integrity of research and protect human dignity. This is not just a milestone for AIMS; it is a beacon of hope and a bold statement that the future of ethical research in Africa is bright, innovative, and anchored in excellence.
