We are thrilled to announce the completion of Exemplar REITail new head office in Clubview, Centurion! This project has been a labor of love, blending modern elegance with the warmth of nature to create a workspace that is both refined and grounded. 🌿 Our design concept marries sleek contemporary aesthetics with the organic beauty of natural materials, particularly timber. Inspired by the serenity of the wilderness, we've crafted an environment that fosters a deep connection to the natural world while delivering the functionality required for a dynamic corporate space. A highlight of this project is the integration of reclaimed materials from Exemplar's previous property, reflecting the company’s commitment to sustainability and history. Reclaimed wood has been repurposed for key features such as the reception desk, main entrance doors, and boardroom table, infusing the space with character and heritage. The main reception atrium is a visual masterpiece, featuring a double-volume pitched roof and a full-height living green wall that brings the outdoors in. The flowing steel balustrade of the staircase seamlessly extends into the reception desk, welcoming visitors with a sense of fluidity and grace. A custom chandelier by Stephen Pikus, made from recycled glass, adds a dramatic drop of light that ties the space together. 🎨 Throughout the interior, hand-sketched artworks by Abigail Alice l Architect depict Exemplar REITail’s key developments, adding a personal and historical touch. These artworks, along with the exquisite detailing of green forest marble, natural timbers, brass, leather, and Oggie Flooring, create a rich, tactile experience that enhances the ambiance of the space. We’re proud to have created a head office that not only supports Exemplar REITail's corporate needs but also celebrates the company’s journey and growth. Shining a spotlight on #SmokeRestaurant for SMOKE Hospitality Group in the heart of the #Pretoria #Hazelwood Precinct. Drawing inspiration from the name Smoke, we explored a myriad of raw materials such as terrazzo stone, clay, terracotta, concrete and plaster to develop a material palette that could be shaped, sculpted, polished, fired or transformed leaving traces of their natural and imperfect beauty in the finished product. Featuring 3 main spaces: The Brunch Bar: The brunch bar is a warm and inviting cafe setting with soft lines within a sunlit voluminous space. The backdrop to the bunch bar is a dramatic textured #mural representing contours within the Pretoria region. The Terrace & Courtyard: The terrace facing the courtyard mimics a comfortable farm ‘stoep’. The courtyard is the heart of Smoke and connects the Brunch Bar to the Capital Bar through the canopy of trees. The focal point of the #courtyard is the fire pit which brings to life this unique cooking experience. The Capital Bar: The bar design is a celebration of the capital city and a dining space that proudly shares insights into the history and legacy of Pretoria. The main feature of the capital bar is the bar itself which sits below a glowing canopy inspired by the purple blossoms of the iconic #Jacaranda tree. True to the design embracing local culture, we feature an array of locally crafted pieces, from artwork to furniture.
