With temperatures soaring to 43°C, the Development Bank of Namibia (DBN) team braved the heat during a visit to Emesco's Schonau solar PV project site near Karasburg in southern Namibia. Emesco Energy has partnered with O&L Nexentury to advance the final stages of the Schonau Solar Energy project through a Joint Development Agreement. This collaboration exemplifies the synergy among Namibian firms working towards realising mutual benefit. Following the recent announcement by Namibia's electricity regulator (ECB) and NamPower of a 100MW limit of electricity export into the Southern African Power Pool, Emesco and O&L Nexentury will pool their export capacities under this agreement, ensuring the Schonau project meets its necessary scale efficiencies. The project has already achieved significant milestones and is on track to break ground early 2025. #Renewableenergy #Energyfinance #Impactinvesting #Emesco
