We at First Car Rental are thankful to have supported this year's CHOC Children's Sani Pass Walk, an event dedicated to aiding children and teenagers battling cancer or life-threatening blood disorders, along with their families. Held on the 5th of August 2024, the walk is a challenging and rewarding annual hike up South Africa’s iconic Sani Pass. Sani Pass, often referred to as ‘the mother of all South African passes’, is a challenging 8km ascent and descent, totaling 16km of rugged terrain. CHOC is a non-profit organisation that advocates for the health and well-being of children and teenagers diagnosed with cancer or life-threatening blood disorders and their families. The passionate and dedicated staff and volunteers of CHOC aim to save lives through early detection and comprehensive support programmes for the families affected by cancer, offering psychosocial, emotional and practical support as we augment the different medical fraternities. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is more than a commitment; it's a reflection of our values. Being able to contribute to such a meaningful cause strengthens our resolve to make a positive impact wherever possible.
