  • Each year on this day, we observe Human Rights Day to reflect on the vital importance of protecting the rights that safeguard us all, nurturing a sense of unity and kinship among people everywhere. Today, we’re reminded that our actions matter. As Maya Angelou wisely said, "The truth is, no one of us can be free until everybody is free." This year's theme, "Our Rights, Our Future, Right Now," calls us to act in the present to secure a better, more just future for all. #humanrightsday #ourrightsourfuture #mayaangelou #justiceforall #goldyouth #follow

  • 🌍 Day 15 of 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence As we approach the final day of this vital campaign, remember: silence is compliance. We must all speak out and take action against GBV in our homes, schools, workplaces, and communities. 💬 A problem shared is a problem half-solved. Let’s support one another, amplify voices, and work together to end this societal scourge. Together, we can create a world where safety and respect are rights, not privileges. 💪💜 #16Days #EndGBV #SpeakOut #TakeAction #ChooseRespect #goldyouth

  • 60% of Africa’s population is under 24 years old. That’s a staggering statistic—and an incredible opportunity. This generation holds the potential to lead Africa into a brighter, more sustainable future.   At gold-youth, we have an audacious goal: to equip 10 million young African leaders by 2032.   The gold Team has been privileged and honoured to have travelled African soil and seen our continent’s pain embraced and turned into power. We have seen firsthand how a single empowered young leader can ignite change in their community and beyond.   $200 a year can be a life-changing investment that will contribute to giving a young person the tools, mentorship, and opportunities they need to become a leader and changemaker in their community- and the hope for our continent.    For Giving Tuesday, your gift will have twice the impact. Thanks to a generous long-term donor, every dollar given will be matched up to $1 million USD!   We are inviting you to join us in creating a legacy of leadership and transformation across Africa- starting with increased impact in 2025 across 2,500 communities in South Africa, Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Nigeria, and Democratic Republic of Congo (with groundwork underway in Ethiopia and Malawi).   Find out more about how you can get involved: https://lnkd.in/dnuxPyxk.   Together, we can unleash the potential of Africa’s youth to lead our continent into a thriving future.   #10MillionLeaders #YouthEmpowerment #AfricaLeads #YouthLedChange #GivingTuesday

  • 🌍 DAY 2 OF 16 DAYS OF ACTIVISM AGAINST GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE ❕❕❕ Violence against women and girls doesn’t only affect individuals; it impacts families, communities, and society as a whole. It's time for all of us to take a stand. What can you do? 🔸 Speak out against harmful gender stereotypes. 🔸 Support survivors by listening without judgment. 🔸 Advocate for stronger laws and enforcement. 🔸 Educate yourself and others on gender equality. Every action counts in creating a safer, more equitable world. Together, let’s challenge the norms that perpetuate violence. WHAT ELSE CAN WE DO TO #EndGBV? #16Days #EndGBV #ChooseRespect #GenderJustice #goldyouth #gold20 #follow

  • 📢 November 25 marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Day 1 of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.  This day serves as a global call to action:   🌍 Raise awareness about violence against women and girls.   🛑 Prevent and eliminate gender-based violence worldwide.   📢 Advocate for policies and resources to end this pervasive human rights violation.  Despite progress, violence against women and girls remains alarmingly prevalent. Globally, 1 in 3 women—an estimated 736 million—experience physical and/or sexual violence in their lifetime.  Weak law enforcement, discriminatory norms, and violence in public spaces, workplaces, and online further hinder progress. Together, we must work to create a world where women and girls can live free from violence and fulfill their rights.  Join us in this fight. 💪   #16Days #EndViolenceAgainstWomen #GenderEquality #HumanRights #goldyouth #gold20 #stopviolence

A promising week of deep engagement and capacity building with Nigeria, Uganda, DRC and Rwanda implementing partners.  Followed by strategic conversations with Ministry of Youth and Arts, National Youth Council, Rwanda Ministry of Education and Rwanda Education Board as we plan to effectively reach youth within school and out of school with the gold Model, as they transition from being negative recipients of negative norms to becoming proactive agents of social change. The process of collaboration through consultation and deep conversation between Rwanda governent ministries and gold-youth, models how all youth ecosystem actors can together achieve collective impact. Our gold-youth system change vision 2044 is clear: every young African to be empowered to lead the continent’s transformation and make a mark on the global stage. Together, we continue to unlock potential, inspire hope, and drive real change. A sincere thank you to the beautiful country of Rwanda, her people, the incredible resilient young African changemakers and all the key industry stakeholders. We looking forward to exploring how we can work together to achieve our goals for Africa and create lasting change together. gold Youth Development Agency #YouthLedChange #AfricaUnites
