💡 Mobilising a United Front Against GBVF The National Business Initiative (NBI) is proud to lead a collaborative and strategic response to Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF) in the private sector. Through our Social Transformation Unit, we are working with businesses to: ✅ Implement survivor-centric policies that foster safety, respect, and accountability. ✅ Promote proactive prevention, reshaping corporate cultures to prioritise inclusivity and support. ✅ Facilitate multistakeholder roundtables, creating spaces for open dialogue where companies share both successes and challenges. Centralised learning and information portal for businesses through the WeDare Repository- set to launch in 2025. 📌 Some Examples of NBI Member Companies Who Have Demonstrated Action: •Anglo American South Africa’s overhauled policies demonstrate the power of aligning corporate practices with GBVF objectives. •Hollard Insurance’s partnership with the 1000 Women’s Trust exemplifies meaningful collaboration for change. These efforts highlight the strength of collective learning and the importance of rapid adaptation. But the critical question remains: How do we ensure these actions create tangible impact where they’re needed most? This journey requires all of us. By uniting around shared goals, we can foster a culture of accountability, safety, and respect across every organisation.
