At the 2024 Michelangelo International Wine & Spirits Awards, we proudly took home four Double Gold and three Gold medals, all a reflection of our long-standing commitment to crafting exceptional wines. These awards honour the lasting legacy of Günter Brözel, our legendary cellar master, who recently turned 90 and was named 2024 Winemaking Legend by Tim Atkin MW. Jamie Williams: The New Head of our White Wine Team Jamie Williams exerts a magnetic force, using wine as her instrument of choice. The new leader of the white wine team believes that wine is the way to connect people, ignite the senses, and celebrate life. “That’s how I try to live and enjoy my life. But with balance and with many layers. I’m a wife, a mom, a winemaker, a friend, a daughter, a granddaughter, a colleague,” she shares.“That’s how I like wine to be—many-sided to keep things interesting, but always backed by good values and a firm backbone. TRIPLE TROPHY-WINNING WINE “The excitement from last week’s trophy wins at the prestigious @TrophyWineShow 2024 is still tangible here in the cellar,” says Zinaschke Steyn, who heads our red wine team.    “Earning three trophies from such an esteemed judging panel for one wine, may be a record of some sort. But more than that, it’s incredibly motivating. We’re proud that our close, hard-working team has been acknowledged in this way. We don’t do what we do to win awards but when it does happen, we are so grateful. I’d be lying if I said the affirmation didn’t matter.”   The Winemasters Shiraz 2022 won for the best red wine, the best Shiraz, and the top discovery (best value) of the show.
