Meet Our specialists in the PICU (Paediatric Intensive Care Unit) 🌟 From postoperative cardiothoracic patients, neurocritical care and the resuscitation of critically ill children, our highly specialised PICU doctors are always ready to provide life-saving care when it is needed. 🩺💖 Our team in the PICU has a focus on early mobilisation in the ICU and provision of minimal sedation and adequate pain relief. They ensure that the most vulnerable patients receive care that is effective, scientifically driven, comfortable and patient-centred. Miss Universe 2019, Zozibini Tunzi, has joined NMCH's Christmas Campaign, Giving Heals, as an ambassador. Tunzi says she hopes to appeal to the generosity of South Africans to support the initiative. "Knowing how Madiba cared for children, I knew I had to lend my voice to support this incredible initiative.
