OneConnect joined the University of Embu for their Techno-Innovation Week (TIW) in Kenya, this week. We were there in support of their efforts to promote cutting-edge technology in the Education Sector. We had the privilege of sharing success stories on how our Education Solutions have played a vital role in the adoption of technology in Education Ecosystems at Insititutions of Higher Learning on the continent. We were honoured to engage distinguished leaders, members of Faculty and delegates, including Professor Daniel Mugendi, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Embu, and the Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Kenya Hon. Dr. Beatrice Muganda. We thank the University of Embu for inviting us to be part of the team that continues to “foster collaboration between academic institutions and industries, while promoting entrepreneurship in the education sector” in East Africa.

I was invited by Anthology Inc and the AMAZON WEB SERVICE (AWS) to attend a round table on their Projects with the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja. The AWS has done a lot in enabling Education administration in Nigeria, providing support for services relating to servers, storage, networking, remote computing, mobile development, security, identity, and compliance. The Anthology leverages Technology to Transform Education in Africa and beyond the company is the leading provider of EdTech solutions. OneConnect Education’s Solutions Engineer Carl Francis and Customer Success Manager Lerato Sithole represented OneConnect at the 2024 Cape Peninsula University of Technology Teaching & Learning with Technology Day.
