The holiday season can be a tough time for families facing food insecurity. To make a difference, the global PepsiCo family is coming together to give back. Supported by the PepsiCo Foundation, and driven by its Food for Good commitment, a number of meal-packing events have been planned to support our communities in need around the world. In South Africa, we recently joined forces with Rise Against Hunger, an organisation dedicated to fighting food insecurity. With the help of over 120 volunteers from our teams across Gauteng, we packed more than 23,000 meals last week. These efforts will ensure that 108 children receive five meals a week for an entire year. We are #PepsiCoProud of our team’s dedication and the positive impact we can achieve together. #PepsiCoCares #FoodForGood

We’re #PepsiCoProud to share another significant milestone with the launch of our new state-of-the-art potato chip production line, at our Isando plant in Johannesburg. This R746 million investment will help to create an additional 100 jobs and further skills development opportunities to benefit the local economy and surrounding community. By expanding our potato chips production capacity, we’re meeting local consumer demand for our much-loved snacks and creating further supply chain efficiencies by eliminating the need for cross-country shipments of our products. The transport efficiencies created will see us reduce our annual road transport by 2.2 million kilometres and helps to cut-down our Green House Gas emissions even further. #AmazingSouthAfrica
