Important Update from QCTO 📢 QCTO has been relatively quiet with updates lately, but there's a notable development: 60 qualifications have been removed from the QCTO website this week. During a recent W&R SETA conference, a section was presented highlighting concerns about several current QCTO qualifications. It was emphasised that fundamental skills such as communication and numeracy must be included in all qualifications but customised to specific roles. For example, a visual merchandiser needs a practical understanding of measurements (cm, mm, etc.) to accurately gauge spaces. This critical component is missing from some qualifications, requiring SDPs to revisit and reapply for them. It appears likely that additional qualifications may be withdrawn, but further details are expected in due course. Stay tuned for updates.
